I like the story and see great potential going forward.

Unfortunately, I hate chapters like this one, as a regular chapter it is fine. But in this instance, you have used it as a filler chapter to draw out the suspense of chapter 20 and will more than likely use the next one or two chapters to do the same before concluding chapter 20. Can't stand it when authors do that. It's the least creative way to add suspense to a story in my opinion.

Keep it up. I'm looking forward to more of the story.

Nolruk has a pretty expansive vocabulary for an illiterate backwater villager who's whole society is built around hunting due to the scarcity of food.

This little step back to explain some of the history was a nice touch

So when I guessed Uncle was withering, that was exactly right, to the word.

Rift to Earth? Maybe, but probably wherever Greg's soul traveled after death is more likely. Maybe heaven or something like it? Also maybe the realm of love or lust somehow?? Less clear how that would be the case but could accounts for things. Though our lust goddess seemed to not know Greg, but knew Roka was intended, so that doesn't make sense.
