All Comments on 'The Stepfather Chronicles Ch. 03'

A grab bag of scenes of wildly varying quality and credibility. First the positive, LOVED the cold as ice mom scene where the narrator gets disowned. In fact my main complaint is mom has only one scene. GREAT villianess potential or maybe a reunion against all odds. Very hard to tell,but Mom is fascinating. I see Kim Basinger and daughter in movie adaption. Felony scenery chewing potential.

The dad was very good as well in low key way. But , but , but the narrator is such a drone. No job, no evident hobbies , no evidence of school work and no cadre of hard partying BFFs to liven her up. She's a loner with sublimated slut tendencies, if that's possible. Seriously give this young woman some areas of interest or excellence.

Oh yeah and suave Alex the sophisticated restaurenteur is in love with this blank page of woman? Please , is this torn from Kate Upton's diary.? Maybe I'm wrong or the wrong demographic. I rolled my eyes thru ' Pretty Woman '. Hmmm maybe Julia Roberts to play pill-popping, shitt-talking hip-swaying mom.? Richard Gere as Dad. Merrrrcy !

to find a new chapter to the tale I thought had ended. Such strong writing, amazing dialogue; even a cliche like, "every word ripping through my heart," is made fresh.

Melanie rings absolutely true....every character real. Elle, as Girlinthemoon creates her in a few efficient lines, becomes a three dimensional person. As I read, I feel I know each and every character's personage.

I liked it, though I don't think their relationship can be considered as taboo at this point now that Ellen is out of the picture.

Really enjoyed this but I was expecting her father to appear at an appropriate moment and give him a good slapping.

So good to see you back GITM! I wasn't around much past few months, so when I saw your stories up I was genuinely overwhelmed. Spent most of the evening reading up on your new stuff - amazing. Moving. Yours.

I know you'll probably hate this question, but I have to ask - is there a chance for you to ever finish the "Color me your color, baby" series? Really loved it...

HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT TO BE SWEPT OFF OUR FEET BY ALEX? ITS BEEN A YEAR, DID HE REALLY JILT MELANIE (and by extension, us readers?) COME BACK!

GITM seems to have dropped this story but what a story! I had hopes for Melanie but she succumbed yet again to the sociopathic Alex. I've seen this is real life and it drives me crazy. Why are women so attracted to the the "bad boy"? Hope GITM writes another chapter or two but it seems unlikely at this late date. We readers want resolution, or even better, some redemption for Melanie.

This was an interesting story...it's too bad you never bothered to finish it.

I really love this story and will keep holding onto hope that you will get back to it.

With everything... Does the mother really pay at all for anything? Does Alex. Because he is a piece of work.

Everyone seems to think there should be more to this, but really this ending is perfect. We already know what will happen: of course Alex will never keep his promises and despite Melanie knowing she is being used, she'll continue to let him have her on his terms. There's nothing else to say!
