Waking up after only a few hours of sleep felt like I'd been drinking the wine Tahareesa serves, dehydrated and a dull ache around the eyes. I could feel Abi humming in my head and humming on my dick with my body and ears. well, that made all other feelings fade and the constant tug and release made my face hot and smile wide, I don't think anything is better than the feeling of your dick being suckled.

"Oh my goodness," I mumble feeling her hair moving across my stomach with her arm over my chest I look down and see her ass up near my shoulder, moving my arm up awkwardly to grab a handful she groans.

'Stop, I'm trying to concentrate,' Abi sends me so I move both hands behind my head and look around. Most everyone is up and about, Neivia walking past the bed with one towel around her head and another wrapped around her body.

Neivia glances over at her sister suckling her husband, and smiles at how the most power woman in the world enjoys such a subservient activity, looking towards Cat she accepts the underclothes handed to her and drops her towels.

Watching all of this my new wife takes one look, a look that had no hint of jealousy. I feel bad for a moment as there is no chance I could do the same, a hypocrite for sure, but to see her with anyone would crush my soul, to see any of them pick someone else would do it.

I thought I was a good person, but I do not doubt that I'd make a mess of any situation even remotely resembling losing any one of them. I feel another pat on my chest, 'Shhh, think of something else.' Abi sends.

"I wonder what that's like, look at his face?" Cataline whispers.

"Shush dear," Mazarine adjusts her chest band, twice the size of Cats, it barely contains them, but it makes it even sexier to see them fight that containment. "She has a lot of work to do when we get there and wants to relax beforehand. We just have to stand around and look helpful."

Tahareesa walks in and I feel a little exposed, she glances over everyone, pausing on us and my heart stops for a moment until she continues into the room over to Cassandra and Denae. "Mother should be waiting for us, she'll make sure we are surrounded by her faction."

"How many factions are there?" Cassandra asks dressed in a light peach sundress tied between her boobs, a gap showing her bronzed skin is the same tone everywhere, and another thin strap tied in a bow just above her belly button with the rest of the dress flowing down turning into a lacy bottom just above her knees, she has lost all remnants of her age, wrinkles, crows feet or age spots from the decades of sun. A human woman's natural age wasn't known, it appears to be mid 30's, but the flawlessness makes her seem elf-ish as Tahareesa was hundreds? of years old and has the same flawless features. Nora had the oldest look before learning the weave and now she probably looked to be a beautiful flawless version of herself 20 years ago.

'Thank you dear,' Nora sends, 'it is a constant topic when I visit Velho.'

"Each faction has its own area, most are groups of survivors from previous times," Tahareesa pauses and then ticks them off on her fingers. "The Vanyor, Nandor, Teleri, Sindar, Falathrim; the Asure mostly read and write the tomes, the Seafarers came into being again once the humans were gone. Mother and I are of the Falathrim or coastal elves."

Pulled back from the distraction, I feel a pat on my chest and see Abi come up and kiss me, "get dressed, and all men think the same way love, very possessive, and always guarding what they have, you have nothing to worry about."

"How do we do this?" I ask Tahareesa as we eat breakfast. "Do we have to say or do anything in greeting?"

"They won't expect you to follow any customs that are not your own," she answers while standing and taking some of the plates. "Most of you," she waves at the women, "act and speak in a way that will fit with my kind, some, of you," she looks at me, "will need to be less direct when possible." I get a few smirks, and then Cat snorts and then laughs setting most of them to laugh.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, I'll be nice, though I have a theory about that one guy.."

"We've already discussed that James," Abi interrupts, "we think I should handle that part of the conversation," Abi looks at Tahareesa, "has your mother set everything up?"

"She has, there will be many more than normal in attendance." Tahareesa nods and then comes over to straighten out my shirt, leaning back she smiles down at me, "I know you dislike politics, so leave that to us?" She asks.

"What, of course?" I ask looking from one to the other as they all seem to be in on this. "Can you at least tell me what you are going to do?"

"Nope, we need you to react as they do." Abi replies, "When do we leave?" Abi then breaks what appears to be firm and final eye contact on that statement, I've seen that a few times in the past, this conversation is over. I trust her to know what she is doing.

We used the ring in the financial district across the square, it was early enough to get across without too many seeing us, but a household full of elves walking around outside caused those going about their business to stop briefly or to scurry off to avoid attention. Even those in the building that work with Falael found other things to do as we walked the halls.

--------

The staff and then Falael and Tahareesa went through first and asked us to wait a few moments to get set, I led the rest of us through, not thinking anything would happen considering they were bound, but also felt concern as many of them could 'feel' we were a threat, especially if they thought what I've been saying was false. Everything being done was based on my word alone and I was not even known to exist until recently.

We came out and it was nothing as I expected, we were near the water with a palace of spires reaching well above the trees that had us all stopping and staring, different shades of white with water flowing down certain sections, like the stretched look of an elf the stretched look of the walls were the same, light blues topping the towers and light seemed to radiate from the building itself.

"Wow! Denae whispers next to me, "My palace looks like an ordinary box in comparison, uh, Amice and Harold's palace."

"Way to make a first impression," I reply finding Tahareesa, Falael, and their mother standing off to the side watching us.

"There are a few like this along the coast, though most incorporate a more fundamental use, getting more earthy deeper into the woods.

"My husband," Aurenthel motions to the man next to her, regal and tall, "Kyratoar, this is James."

"A pleasure, even under the circumstances," he glances at the rest of us, "we can continue the introductions once we are in a better location." He motions for us to follow them.

The guards fill in around us and we start the walk down the path towards the crystal palace, it looks strong considering there are no seams in the stone, but fragile with the sheer amount of glass. We use glass for windows and ornamentation but this one building has as much as every house in Cegramond combined.

Almost all of the Elves we pass have the same shape as Falael and Tahareesa with hairstyle and headdresses, and clothing being the differences. The darker-haired Elves seem to be staff or guard positions.

Kyratoar and Aurenthel stop and speak to a few along the way, mostly giving orders. I wonder if they picked a ring this far away to show off the palace or if there was another reason.

'This is quite the trek,' Mazarine says to the group, 'I have James, Neivia and Abi, Nora has Cassandra, Denae, and Cat, just in case, James plucks us out to Denae's quarters if things go wrong.'

'Yes Ma'am'. I answer and smile at Mazarine taking control.

'Not all of the looks we are getting are curiosity,' Abi says as we move along.

"There is no need to be anxious," Aurenthel whispers, "Nothing can happen before the council meeting." What do you mean before the meeting?

'Well, that had the opposite effect.' Cat sends and I can feel most of us agree, before the council meeting. How about nothing at all considering we are here to help.

"Who is on our side?" I whisper back.

"Vanyar, Falathrim, Sindar, and now Teleri believe and agree, Nandor, Seafarers disagree and the Avari are small and neutral."

"Queen Hollis is having issues with half the Barons under her, I expect it's the same here," I answer and she nods.

"It's been so long since there was strife that many don't want it to be true," Kyratoar answers as we walk into a grand hall.

"So we are to get right to it?" I ask and it reverberates off the walls much louder than it should have.

"The news you bring is both dire and coincidental to your newfound nature." An elf at what appears to be a council table answers just as loudly.

'Shhhhush.' Abi sends before I call him out as obviously being Traeliorn.

'Oh right, I'm supposed to be nice,' this is going to be difficult.

"We would just like to get everything out into the open and then we have quarters for you to freshen up before dinner." Another council member states and gives a look to Traeliorn.

"If it is anything like Tahareesa's food, I'll tell you anything you want to know," I answer before I can get shushed. Aurenthel smiles at me as she moves up to take her seat, and Kyratoar stays by our side.

"I understand you did this at my son's house already, could you do it again," She looks at us, "Those that can, she points at a huge version of the tree we were tested on at Tahareesa's home.

I go first showing them the weave and we all cast it at the tree, all of them are accepted with most of the council looking both awed and relieved.

"I am Mitalar Caivaris," the woman that spoke earlier says, "It is quite remarkable you can even do that, let alone it being accepted considering the nature of your race, no slight intended towards you, this is a first for us and we've been here quite a while."

"The rest of them are tainted, we should only speak to that one," Traeliorn says quickly before any others cans speak, pointing at me, "The rest are free to go to their quarters now."

"We are a packaged deal," I reply directly to him, "I," stop speaking when Abi's hand on my arm squeezes. Yep, this is going to be impossible.

"Nonsense, we agreed already they are all welcome," Aurenthel answers.

"Voting and agreeing are two separate things," he answers.

"James," Aurenthel continues, "You claim that The Ian Cole summoned you and gave you this task," she pauses for a moment, "that others will be coming here with ill intent?"

"He did, they are coming from a place called South America up around the Sahara and this will be the first place they can land." I use Ian's terms for the lands instead of saying the Wastes.

They discuss amongst themselves for a moment, their whispers don't seem to reverberate as ours do. They are definitely not in agreement with whatever they are discussing.

"Can you prove any of this?" Aurenthel finally asks as they calm down.

"I can give you access to the memories if you wish, other than the threat itself, I don't know any more than you."

"We might take you up on that, but Falael informed us already about your meeting with him. He also stated you gained our abilities from reading a set of books?" A few scoffs are heard around the room.

"An abomination is what it is, no different," Traeliorn says almost as a shout.

Abi steps forward, "James was gifted his abilities, and there is only one that can do that, do you believe it was in error?" I was as surprised as the council when she took over, though I guess I shouldn't have been, this must be what they were discussing earlier.

Mitalar started to answer and Abi held up her hand, "I'm asking him, Corellon is the god of Magic and Warfare, the creator and preserver of the elven race, and governs those things held in the highest esteem among elves. Are you saying it was a mistake?"

"You can't speak to me that way human." Traeliorn is outraged, but most of the others nod when she explains it, and all look over to him.

"Are you going to answer the question?" Aurenthel asks, "It would make sense that the keeper of magic and warfare would step in if what is believed to be coming is real?"

"Not to them, never to them," Traeliorn answers.

"I have a question for the council," Abi asks as a statement and waits.

"You may ask," Mitalar answers her and leans forward.

"The Seafarers faction has been sailing the seas for hundreds of years?" All look to Traeliorn but he doesn't seem willing to answer her, making a face as if it was beneath him to acknowledge her.

"Thousands," Mitalar answers again for him.

"It is my understanding there are hundreds of ships coming our way, do we know how this could have been missed?"

"How dare you!" Traeliorn stands up, his seat falling behind him. I feel the group tense up around me. There are gasps and conversations break out around the room.

"Quiet! I said Quiet!" Mitalar shouts with Aurenthel's lip ticking up into almost a smile as she looks at Abi who maintains her posture.

"Nothing has been missed, there are no ships coming! Like all humans, they just sow discord everywhere they go." Traeliorn's staff picks his chair up for him but he stays standing.

"I am willing to have my memories searched to prove myself to the council, are you?" I ask in a normal tone but it hushed the entire hall.

"That is not acceptable, we don't participate in your evil ways," Traeliorn responds and takes his seat. "From the moment they've arrived, it has all been deceit and discord, remove them." He motions to the guards around the room.

"Stay!" Aurenthel commands. "They are our guests, and will remain so, we will take you up on your offer James, and if it shows to be accurate, we will have additional questions." She finishes off, looking to the opposing side of the table.

"Kendel Bergolor will meet you in your quarters, he will administer the delving and share it with the council." Aurenthel motions to a man standing to the side of the hall who walks over and joins us. "Kyratoar, if you could show them to their quarters, please."

"Follow me," he says and leads us out the side of the hall. "Falael said you would prefer one room for all, we've adapted a conference room nearby to make any other meetings a shorter walk." He smiles at Abi and nods. "That was impressive."

"Thank you." Abi gives a tiny nod back and takes my hand.

'Not sure you needed me to be as surprised as the rest of them, but I agree that was impressive.' I send to the group. 'He's not going to just stand by though, now that we've called him out.'

The room erupts as we exit and we can hear Mitalar shouting for decorum. We are quiet as we walk just a short distance into a large room with beds along the walls.

"There are baths through that door," Kyratoar says walking us past seven beds, and James, your bed is behind that divider," he points to the side of an oblong room.

'I call first,' Mazarine sends and gets awkward chuckles.

Once in the baths, Kyratoar stops, "my personal guards will be outside and along the entire hallway, Falael said you can all create the portals?"

"Yes, thank you Kyratoar," Mazarine answers, "we understand the sensitivity of, all of this, would you stay until Kendel is done?"

"I will, it will go well?" He asks looking at me.

"I already showed it to Tahareesa and Falael, it will be the same. Just to be clear," I say for clarification, "I hope Ian was wrong, I don't want to have to go against overwhelming odds just to prove a point."

"I hope he was wrong also, though we prepare for the worst and hope for the best." Kyratoar motions us to the large table in the middle of the room. "Kendel, if you could please?"

We all sit around the table with Kendel sitting next to me, "I am ready when you are."

"I understand you don't like to delve into others, so if I may, I can push it to you instead?" I offer and he relaxes slightly.

"That would be better."

Closing my eyes, I push the memories of everything leading up to meeting Ian, slowing them down while we were there, and then what we did to prepare before coming here, it took what seemed like quite a while.

"That was Ian Cole and his entourage, the succubus and revenant," Kendal says to Kyratoar once done. "I was chosen, as I am the eldest of the Asur, keepers of the knowledge, writers of the tomes, I've met with him quite a few times over the ages as the humans have progressed."

"It is true then?" Kyratoar asks with a fraction of concern on his face.

"It is probably worse than what James understood based on his life experiences, from what I understood, this could be far worse, dark shaman or necromancer mixed in with hordes of normal humans with no magic at all. The magic users only seem a small amount until you take in their totality, they could easily equal our numbers."

"I prefer my understanding," I mutter to nobody in general.

"So do I." Kendal replies, "let's get back to the council, we need to change our shields from defending against natural magic to death magic, let's hope they don't arrive anytime soon."

"We will need to learn how to do that also." Nora says to Kendal, "our wards are nature-based also. We have limited knowledge of Necromancers and nothing against shamans."

"Yes, we can do that." Kyratoar answers, "If anyone still has an appetite we will have dinner at dusk, I'm sure my wife and Mitalar will visit and bring you."

"Well, that was awful all the way around." Denae says as we are left to our own, "I hope he's wrong."

"We all do," Abi says sitting on one of the beds. Ian is the only one I've ever heard of, and then only after we met him, and he was so powerful, he created, all of us and the world as we know it."

"Yeah, he isn't a fan of his kind either." I sit next to her. "Said they are so bad he doesn't allow them to live in our realms."

"Are we staying another day? Or, bring Serena in now?"

'Serena, we might not be here another night, do you want to come tonight?' I send her.

'No! From what I've heard, I don't want anything to do with them today.' Serena replies to the group.

'What!? Did they turn you into a chicken? It'll be fine.' I look around the room and see some guilty faces, I give them the look of it being okay at being honest, but dammit, Serena was dying to come here.

'Nope, just make sure they eat the food before you do, have restoration spells at the ready just in case, I need you all to come home safely.'

"Death magic sounds ominous, what even is that?" Neivia says, 'Ember? Do you have a moment?' she sends to the team and the succubus.

'I do, we got to watch the entire thing in front of the council, and just you lot sitting around in your room with the delving.' Ember sends back.

'What is death magic?' Neivia asks, 'our wards won't protect against it?'

'We find it hard to believe that so many necromancers could work together, it is more likely shaman's or clerics that have focused on sacrifice and death magic, pretty close to the same thing, and hard to believe, but less crazed than true necromancers.'

'Have you or Ian found any place to live they aren't going to visit anytime soon?' Neivia asks and the girlish giggle from Ember was disconcerting.
