Thank you for joining me. It's been a long time between parts and I appreciate your patience. This is the final segment in our journey. If this is your first time, I would highly suggest reading parts 1 -- 4 first. Your votes and comments are always appreciated.

Before we get started with part five, I need to correct a couple of small errors I made in part four. I stated Anu had assembled an army from the Phoenix Cluster and that it was 57 light years away from Earth. Sorry about that, the Phoenix Cluster is actually 5.7 billion light years from Earth. As Maxwell Smart would say, "Missed it by That Much."

The other correction from part four; Josephine referred to Utu as the Annunnaki moon god and Inanna's twin brother. He was Inanna's twin brother, but he was the sun god, not the moon god. The moon god was Nanna, who, in the story, was killed by Ares. Again my apologies, trying to keep my mythology straight.

Inanna and Utu might remind you of Apollo and Artemis but that's the difference between Sumerian (Mesopotamian) mythology and Greek mythology. Further, Inanna is also known as Ishtar in Akkadian mythology and was the possible precursor to Aphrodite. I wanted them to exist as competing goddesses during the same time period. Oh well, just in case your were curious.

Everyone in this story is over the age of 18...most are way over.

How The Ultimate Sacrifice -- 04 Ended

After dinner Bron and Thret requested an urgent meeting. We met them in the operations center conference room.

Bron addressed the group, "We've located Utu and Inanna. Utu is going by James Whitmore and works for the US Central Intelligence Agency. Inanna goes by the name of Marie Boutier and is dating Perseus. We believe Utu's job is to keep track of Heracles and Josephine. I will add Inanna is doing a much better job than Utu. Utu is not aware of the cabin and has been frantically looking for Heracles for about a year."

The room was silent. Heracles was the first to speak, "My great grandfather is boning an Annunaki? That's so wrong, on so many levels."

That got the room laughing and broke the tension that was in the air. The joke was lost on Bron and Thret.

Bron proceeded to account for the 100 or so spies of the Annunnaki. Many were occupying elected or other governmental positions throughout the world. Most non-elected positions were military or intelligence. A dozen were high up in influential corporations that had an impact at a global level. Inanna and Utu were supervising their activities as well as keeping an eye on any Olympians.

As I listened to Bron's presentation, another thought occurred to me. So I offered a different theory, "The presence of Inanna and Utu, plus the number of Annunnaki allies might suggest Anu doesn't intend to destroy the planet, but rather enslave it again."

Josephine asked, "He's been dead set on destroying Earth, why would he want to enslave it now?"

I knew this wouldn't be a popular theory, "Inanna and Utu may have convinced him that the planet's leadership is so corrupt that it can be manipulated to serve him. They have integrated into key positions in global government and business, it wouldn't take much effort. What better way to humiliate Zeus than to make every human, on his precious Earth, Anu's slave."

The group discussed and debated the various possibilities and outcomes for the planet and its inhabitants. Bottom line, we didn't have a clue what Anu's true intentions were.

In the end Athena summed it all up, "We cannot allow Anu to enslave Earth anymore than we can stand for the destruction of the planet."

We all looked at the great goddess. Poseidon finally asked, "And what do you propose?"

She responded, "Well the first thing is to save Perseus."

And Now... The Ultimate Sacrifice -- Part 05

Chapter twenty -- Reconnaissance

Before we committed to a course of action, I asked the group if I could spend some time conducting a bit of reconnaissance or surveillance. Well, not your traditional surveillance. My method of surveillance didn't involve sitting in a car, protected by the shadows, watching the movements of my subjects and adversaries... not in the traditional sense. Yes, I conducted covert surveillance... in a place where I wouldn't be detected... but no stakeouts and definitely no coffee and donuts.

I kinda missed the coffee and donuts.

Oh well, the group seemed content with my plan.

I started with Perseus. I had to know where his head was at. When I said that, I meant the "big" head. We were well aware of what the "little" head had been up to recently. The day I suggested Heracles call him to prepare for the Annunnaki invasion, he had an interesting conversation with his great grandfather. Perseus told Heracles he was going to "sit this one out." He felt he had "done his duty for mankind" and now that he had found the woman of his dreams, he wasn't going to let her go.

On its face that didn't make any sense. If everyone on the planet was threatened, that would include anyone and everyone he cared about. That should have been a greater reason to help versus a reason not. But the "woman of his dreams" was the Annunnaki goddess of love. If Inanna was anything like Aphrodite, Perseus never stood a chance. It appears, at least on the surface, Inanna's main objective was to keep Perseus off the battle field and alive.

But why? Why wouldn't she just kill him? She killed countless other males, throughout history, who simply got in her way. What was so special about Perseus? Was he truly immortal and therefore incapable of being killed or did she have other plans for him? That would be one of my recon objectives.

Before I got started, I decided to try something different. I wanted to continue to explore my new abilities. So... I walked out to the middle of the lake. Walking on water was a unique experience in itself. Using the water to push myself forward was a little different. I didn't feel the friction a hard surface provides. Even a sandy surface, like a beach, provides a degree of resistance. Water is just...squishy. I guess I could have just floated above the surface, but walking has been a habit I've had for 60 odd years.

I picked a spot and sat down, legs crossed, hovering just above the water. I closed my eyes and began to meditate. I concentrated on the sound of the water moving in the gentle breeze all around me. I heard a fish break the surface a few yards away and then splashed back into the safety of the lake. Next, I heard the sounds of the Kentucky forest; the leaves rustling; the birds singing; the ground animals moving through the trees. It was so serene, I could have enjoyed it for hours... but alas, I had to get to work.

Finally, I meditated to the darkness of the Observatory.

Again, I saw the multitude of souls ascending to the light. I watched them for a moment, their stories always fascinated me. However, I wasn't there to connect with souls. Looking back to the living world was much easier than when I was on the Olympus. Well at least within the confined perimeter of our hideout. I now realized Hephaestus must have constructed the invisible barrier around the property. It took a little effort to see the outside world, beyond our sanctuary, but I was beginning to learn his defenses.

I started by looking at myself, sitting in the middle of a calm lake setting. It looked just as peaceful as it felt. I moved my focus to the cabin. Heracles and Josephine were doing some cleaning. Athena and Poseidon had gone for a walk and were exchanging their ideas about what the immediate future may hold and how to keep the human population ignorant to the threat that faced their planet. I shifted my interest to the operations base, at the bottom of the lake. Bron and Thret were busy supervising the monitoring of all planet communications for anything related to our adversaries.

Ok, playtime was over, it was time to get down to business. I pushed beyond the protective shielding and located Perseus in Argos-Mykines, Greece. It's located in the Greek region of Peloponnese, near the Gulf of Argolis, and is one of most continuously inhabited cities in the world. People have lived there for over 7,000 years. More importantly, it's Perseus' birthplace. Heracles told me Perseus preferred living in North Central Europe and had only returned to his hometown recently. I wondered why and if it had anything to do with Inanna.

I found Perseus sitting outside his villa drinking an ouzo, eating some fresh feta cheese, bread dipped in olive oil and stuffed olives. Perseus has owned this particular villa for thousands of years. Through the ages it had been passed down to generations upon generations of himself. It was an effective way to hide his immortality. Although the villa still had some of the original stonework, it had undergone countless remodels and expansions. Today it's one of the largest and architecturally beautiful buildings in Argos, set on a hill, about ten kilometers from the town center, with a fantastic view of the countryside. Perseus also owned the 25 acres surrounding the villa. On the property was a small olive tree orchard, a grape vineyard and sufficient grazing land for his goats.

Perseus was dressed in a white button down, cotton, short sleeve shirt and kaki shorts. He hadn't bothered to button the shirt, leaving his torso bare, displaying incredible abs for someone over 4,000 years old. His legs and arms were muscular and tanned. His hair was short with tight, blond curls. His smile was framed by a full, trimmed, light brown beard. All in all, he was a good looking man.

Perseus was thinking about how he couldn't wait to make love to Marie (Inanna's cover name) again. The last time had been nothing short of incredible. He was addicted to everything about Marie; the tingle he felt when she smiled; how he melted when she looked at him; how smooth her skin felt; even the way she tasted. The juices she expelled when he feasted on her pussy was the nectar of the gods. When she kissed him, the world didn't exist, only her soft, full lips. She never said it, but he could tell by the way they kissed and held each other that she was in love with him. The thought of it made him smile, because he was also in love with her.

Well that was interesting and to a small degree I felt somewhat guilty and a tad perverted.

Perseus had no idea he was seduced by an Annunnaki. I probed his mind further. The memory of his last conversation with Heracles was buried deep in his subconscious, leaving him completely ignorant of the events that were beginning to unfold. He was totally consumed with thoughts of Marie while sitting there sipping his ouzo and eating his food.

Not a single care in the world.

I also discovered why he liked northern Europe so much. Perseus was also known as Hans Folkner. Hans was an investigative journalist. He liked to be close to Brussels, Belgium where he had deep connections, cultivated over decades, within NATO and the European Union. His focus was on government corruption. It appears Inanna seduced Perseus partly because he was getting close to exposing Anu's spies within NATO, the EU and several top European corporations. The results of his investigation were also buried in his subconscious. Perseus had no idea he had stumbled across Anu's plans. The only reason I knew was because I recognized the names involved and put two and two together.

"Elementary my dear Watson," to quote Mr. Holmes.

I discovered Perseus was under Inanna's influence in a similar way Lilith had affected Aristaeus. I had always thought Lilith was the only one capable of introducing the neurotoxin into an Olympian. Well, to be accurate, Perseus was half Olympian. The question was, could Inanna's control over Perseus be used to kill him, if she chose? As I delved deeper, I realized Inanna's control wasn't the "manufactured" neurotoxin Lilith used on Ares and Aristaeus. Inanna's toxin was naturally produced and passed on to her unwitting subjects via fluids such as a kiss, or sexual intercourse.

I decided to take some precautions.

I didn't completely remove Inanna's control, but muted its effects and rendered it incapable of killing him. I then restored his memories and introduced some "doubt" about Marie's motives. Also, I reminded him of Heracles' phone call. Finally, I suggested he not take any action concerning his doubts about Marie or discovery of corruption. Well at least not right now. That should give us a chance to be there before "the shit hits the fan."

Next, I located Inanna. The Greys had some pictures and a recent video of her. She was nothing short of stunning...a walking wet dream. She was more beautiful than any Hollywood A-lister yet exuded porn star sex appeal out of every pore in her body. Her hair was long, flowing and dark red. One might describe it as blood red. Her eyes were an emerald green that could corrupt any mortal soul. Her skin was a scrumptious caramel color and her lips were full and luscious.

She was about five feet nine inches tall... when she was posing as a human. Double D breasts that stood tall and proud. A narrow waist that was accentuated by "fuck me" hips. Her ass had that cute bubble shape, but wasn't over the top big. Topping it all off was the longest, sexiest legs imaginable.

Pure porn star sex appeal, not doubt about it.

There were a couple of little unexpected things.

She also had a set of pure black wings, with a span of about twelve feet. The wings were proportional to her actual eight feet in height. On the ends of each feather were razor sharp talons. A set of rams horns wrapped around her red hair and a long tail, that could double as a whip completed the ensemble. I wondered how she was able to hide that part of her.

With all that beauty and sex appeal, inside she was very...very different.

She possessed a single minded focus and determination. I found the mind of a calculating sociopath. Legend had it she liked to take control of domains that belonged to other deities. I could see that, she was obsessed with control. Her control du jour was...Earth. Anu had given her and her brother Utu instructions to prepare Earth for destruction. But she had a different plan in mind. She installed the 100 aliens into various government, military and corporate positions without Anu's knowledge. Additionally, Lilith was her ally. They're plan was to eliminate Anu after the Olympians were destroyed.

Unfortunately she was unaware of Lilith's demise.

I had errored in assuming Anu had positioned the spies on Earth. Apparently, he only sent Inanna and Utu to set the stage for the planet's ultimate destruction and to disrupt any counter actions by the Olympians.

Again, I was reminded with all my new gifts and intellect, I was not perfect. I still made mistakes. That fact should have disturbed me, but instead it gave me a sense of inner peace. Knowing I wasn't perfect reminded me I still possessed some semblance of my humanity.

Inanna appropriated the 100 aliens from Kepler-452b... well that's the human designation for the planet. It's located about 1,400 light years from Earth and has been called "Earth's older cousin." It's sun is about 1.5 billion years older than Earth's sun.

The Kepler 100 were selected because they possessed a common quality. They were all criminals on their home planet. That common trait made them more playable to Inanna's corruption and also eager to leave they're home world in the rear view mirror. But as with all criminals, they can't be trusted. It was a testament to her abilities to maintain control over this lot.

I was curious about that. She did have a memory of one going "off script." He was posing as a high powered Washington lobbyist and decided to get a little side action going. He wasn't trying to take control of things. He just got greedy.

Inanna and Utu hold a "retreat" of sorts, once a year. Although the location changes every year, all are in very remote and plush accommodations. The primary purpose of the retreat is to reenforce the Kepler-100's mission on Earth and maintain firm control over them. During one past retreat, Inanna paraded the Lobbyist in front of all the others attending. She made her point in a very dramatic way, by drawing and quartering him for all to witness. His head was displayed on a spike for the remainder of the retreat.

She hasn't had any issues since.

Yep... calculating sociopath.

I did not find her in Argos, where I expected her to be. She was meeting with the Russian and the Chinese Foreign Ministers at the "Sol Nessebar" resort, on the Black Sea. They were deep in a discussion concerning the progress made to turn the US government into a socialist state. The goal was not to make the United States a co-equal partner, but subservient to the goals and priorities of the Russian and Chinese governments. This was the "new world order" that would bring peace and harmony to the world, while at the same time bringing America to its knees.

Same old shit...different day.

The Russians and Chinese were keenly aware of Inanna's highly placed assets within the American and EU governments, intelligence services and the military. They thought they were in control of things and had her wrapped around their collective fingers. Problem for them, nothing could have been farther from the truth. They believed Inanna (or as they knew her, Marie Boutier) was under their thumb. After all she was just a woman, how could she compete at their level? In reality, she had absolute control. If one were to go rogue, he would have a convenient accident and be replaced. At the end of this game, she would crush their governments along with the US and EU. Then she would be the supreme ruler over all the pathetic humans.

Like I said, sociopath.

I discovered she would be returning to Argos in a couple of days, to check on Perseus. As she thought about Perseus, I realized she actually had feelings for him. That definitely did not fit her modus operandi. She only used her powers to keep him "out of play," but didn't use them to make him fall in love (or lust) for her.

That could complicate things.

I'd have to circle back on that issue. Now to find Utu.

I found him in Washington DC. It was late in the evening and he was walking into one of DC's famous private establishments, "The George Town Club." Utu was a decent looking guy, in human form... about six feet tall, maybe six-one. Short red hair, green eyes, like his sister, and five days of facial hair growth. He was dressed sharply in a blue Italian designer suit.

So far no wings, horns or tail. They're probably there, just hidden.

He was truly in his element though, as evidenced by the way he strutted through the crowd. Interestingly, when he entered the club, women seemed to gravitate to him like bees to honey. He hugged each of them and kissed them squarely on the lips. He would give a naughty squeeze on the butt to several. His smile was wide and engaging. Each woman was vying for his attention and he was loving it. It was easy to see he was in his comfort zone.

He did not have the same psyche as his sister.

Turns out Utu was an ancient playboy, maybe even the first playboy. He had seduced women since the Sumerian civilization. Although he didn't care about race, human or alien, he found he preferred them young. He even enjoyed sampling a young man, every now and then. It seems sex was the one thing that didn't get "old" through the centuries.

He mingled for a time, flirting with the bevy of beautiful woman all vying for his attention. Eventually he focused his attention on a young coed from George Washington University. He worked his charm, developed over thousands of years of seduction. The blond beauty was putty in his hands.
