Welcome Back!!!

You've been missed. I always love the emotion that pours from your writing. Your rebuilding of bent and broken people is wonderful. Glad you gave us this.

Wow, what a ride

This is one hell of a story, covering the transition from depths of despair to a believably much brighter future.

A great sense of time and place, real interactionsbetween people and overall a pleasurable ride. Well worth the gestation process so 5* plus.

Fantastic story!

Fantastic! Not just about every romantic goal that ever existed. Easily one of the best stories I've read in this genre in a while. I'm looking forward to reading more of your writing!

Thank you once again Wanda

I cannot recall a more powerful opening to a story on Literotica than this one. The tragedy of Heather's loss set the tone for all that followed and made her rescue so much sweeter.

Absolutely wonderful.

Lue

ps: I too had an association with Triumphs, but only on the pillion. It was a Tiger Ten.

pps: Please Wanda, I realise there was an association with the plumbing when you took him to your battered bathroom, but the past tense of 'to lead' is 'led'.

"Thank you for being mine for a while."

Fuck, you just stabbed me with that. Tears from nowhere, catch in my breath, there was nothing but truth in that line.

I hate this story

Because I want so much more of it. 4 pages of writing so exquisite and emotions so raw and so pure is barely enough to whet the appetite. 4 pages of moving from a personal tragedy to the beginnings of something better. It's not enough, it can't be. Writing so beautiful should not end.

I've said this for all your stories, especially Alexis and Alexis, Reprised, that you are the best writer here, bar none. The rest of us merely fill the vacuum and provide the contrast so others can know how truly incredible your writing is.

Whatever you write, I will consider myself privileged to have read.

You are a gifted writer...

I am so glad you are back! I have read every story and have wished for a couple years I could get more. When I saw this new story, even though it was almost 1am I couldn't wait to read it. I was NOT disappointed. So well written, emotional and I felt I was there live watching everything unfold before my eyes with your amazing writing skills. Thank you and please write more

What a great story!

Superb!

This is such a fine piece of erotic storytelling! "Thank-you for being mine for a while." That line blindsided me and took my breath away. Very strong work! Thanks for sharing your talent and labor.

PS: You're obviously a rider or a good researcher.

PPS: A winsome girl on a motorcycle caught my eye many years ago. She doesn't ride anymore but I still do. I wonder if she'd let my buy a Triumph?

luedonluedonover 5 years ago
Hi Mr T Red

Mine was a DKW (Das Kleine Wunder). Not in quite the same league as a Trumpie (do riders still call them that these days?) but it was fun.

Five Stars!

Only because they won't let us give ten.

If it has been sitting percolating, then it has only gotten better with age. Well defined without being overbearing. A little more would have been greatly appreciated, buit it gives you a chance for a sequel. ( HINT HINT! ).

Great story.

I listen to these stories as I go on my walks and it is kinda embarrassing to have to wipe away tears in the middle of the city. Fortunately it’s a cold windy day and I can pretend that’s the cause. Thanks for a beautiful story. I hope you have something new for us soon.

Very romantic..

..and it ends up being very sexy. You weave such an impressive tale of loss, grief and pain and then transform it into such a glorious rapture of feelings and emotions. Thank you for such an enthralling and heartfelt tale that drew us in and made us feel goosebumps. 5

Thanks Wanda

You've penned a powerfully enchanting story taking us through the depths of despair to the heights of love. Five stars are far too few for this heartfelt tale.

Thanks again.

Wonderful story probably the best you've written.

Such a beautiful, simple story.

You mentioned in the intro having hesitation about this piece, but it stands alone so wonderfully the way it is. Your writing is perfect...you don't narrate or explain the inner monogue of characters, which is so tedious. Paint the action and let me read it as I will. You don't describe what the characters look like. I want them to look how I imagine them in my head. If something is important it's part of the story, otherwise I can imagine it as I wish. Beautiful, simple. Thanks!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 5 years ago
I know it's fiction, but the recovery from grief was not believable

First, I don't at all share your concerns regarding the ending. You tied up this story better than any of your others, and that is saying a great deal because I find all of your other stories to be flawless (barring three or four copy errors, total), and wonderful.

My only issue is with this story's pacing. I don't know if you have experienced grief of this nature before, and I guess if so you can ignore my comment, but I really can't imagine taking a lover over the course of three days if I hadn't already bothered to trawl a town for a loveless screw over the past three years. What I'm trying to say is that a person who has not gone out looking for sex to fill a biological craving for three whole years is also not going to screw anybody they met only three days ago. She obviously seems to feel like to do so would be akin to adultery. That sort of mental/emotional devotion takes time to get over.

I feel like the story should have spanned a few months. There should maybe have been a date here, a visit with Janice there (to discuss her date, tell Janice her feelings and her guilt, and get Janice's advice), and maybe a night in together without anything physical happening past cuddling (and maybe at this point some mentions of her body responding and how she deals with it). Alan's patience with her as she slowly heals and warms up to him, regardless of his obvious erection(s), would be another way to go.

I'm no author, but this is what I expected to read after I was introduced to Heather and her background. I expected Alan to have to put in some work to break down some walls. I wasn't expecting a "full heal" of her issues, nor was I expecting "and they lived happily ever after" (none of your stories go that far, even if they do hint at genuine love), but I was expecting a character who is crippled by grief to step through enough doors before allowing herself to find any happiness with someone else. Allowing yourself to find happiness is something that is very difficult if you had gone through the trauma Heather experienced and if you are wired the way Heather seems to be, given the way she has been acting.

I wish you all the happiness and luck in all your future writing, should you choose to do any. I've had a wonderful time reading all of your stories on this site. I just hope this criticism is able to help you write even better stories later. Cheers!

Lovely tale

Exquisitely crafted story of grief become habit until rattled hard by the could-have-been near-death crash. Like a sledgehammer taking down old plaster, so Heather's cocoon of grief is shattered, and she realizes she still misses the lost ones, but also realizes she is so terribly lonely as well, and a well-mannered gentleman is perhaps worth taking a risk for.

Masterfully told, and another fine example of why you are among my favorite writers here on Lit. Thank you for sharing. 5* Slainté

I love your writing, I do sometimes want you to finish, take them through the initial hot love and figure out how they deal, you could do that, your writing is more than good enough to do that.

But if you don't, I'll still read because your writing is awesome.

Wanda you are certainly not one hit... I LOVE your stories ❤ You have a way of drawing us into the story and making it personal... I would love to see you finish the story with a chapter on what happens next..... regardless you are an amazing story teller...

peter2801peter2801over 2 years ago

I really like your stories. Your stories are drawing me in, I've now spend again too much time reading and re-reading stories I know already - and this one. Triumph hit home, I think it's one of your best pieces. The light tone doesn't distract from the overall story arc. The tragedy in the story is not too overwhelming, it doesn't hit you with a hammer, but it reminds you it's there and will be there. A brilliant, brilliant story. Short and brilliant.

GaiusPetroniusGaiusPetroniusover 2 years ago

I had to learn that music is a blend of sounds and silences, and that sculpture is composed of both positive and negative spaces. In this story you have revealed your mastery of the (figurative) asterisk. You reveal the loss of Kirsty and Peter to us obliquely; Heather reveal it to Alan outside our hearing. Repeatedly you played with the negative spaces in the unfolding of their lovemaking.

Brokenness is a running theme in the stories you tell, along with the healing power of self-giving love.

I am a better human being for having read you.

Ah, so well done. The details that we had to fill in, the oblique references, the nuances that left us aching, were just so well accomplished it was a touching experience to read. Having ridden miles and miles on my own bike while dealing with loss and disappointment, even having once been forced off the road in the hill country of west Texas, made it all so hauntingly familiar! Thank you for a delightful tale!

I just want to agree with what others have already said. This is one of the best stories here. You should be published properly, in collections of erotic short stories. If I knew how to make that happen, I'd do so for sure....

I've read all your stories Wanda and they are all so well done. Just good stuff!! Triumph is certainly one of the best. I love how I start reading, and within a couple paragraphs, I'm there almost in the setting with the characters. Just floating along with them, experiencing the emotions, almost able to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste the various stimuli and descriptions. Now that I've regrettably finished all your works, I'll need to read the authors on your 'Favorites' list. They must be very good, if you've recommended them. Keep up the good work Wanda....just awesome!

Unquestionably horror has ugly faces and strikes always at unexpected moments ….. the one leaving us are gone for good and playing angels sitting on loud watching us … we sitting inour homes or elsewhere and mourning crying , missing those souls, are running a path with dark deep tales ….. and sometimes its hard finding the power running up that steep path up that hill for sunlight ….. a teary tale and just a sexual encounter, the dark edges are prominent …. Life at its normal path

Not rushed at all, but a blissfully simple and lovingly told story about a few good people who find what they need in each other. If a first timer reads this story for the brief train ride across country, they're gonna look at the longer stories that night! 5 shooting stars!
