ignore the troglodyte anon

The chapter was great and the pacing is just fine. This story is a great slow burn.

Well Done

The consumation was completed. Now let the love grow. Alessa will hopefully continue to grow and mature with that fear behind her.

perhaps I analized this too much

Perhaps I did analized this too much, I read all the chapters today because of the very high scores in a romance story and I'm disturbed to have this, or that people sense this as romantic, more than the fact that you post this story in this cathegory, your main male character is dominaring and manipulative, you make him say things like, is your choice, you have control, and monolog with selfless thoughs that he would stop, when all the things he does are manipulating a deply disturbed person into having sex, that is his sole purpose, and you are doing just fine with your story, it is the fact that people can give you such high scores as a ROMANCE story when a few knics and trinks to this Denny guy doesn't make less of a dick. sorry I don't like your story and I feel compel to let you know because here I see wows and awwws and greats! And I don't feel it. He is sick and a dick and she is just a girl. You make this story seem like he is going to cure her of cancer with his dick when the reality is the way it looks in your story, that he is just set on fucking her, come on! they had one date. It seems that you look at very controlling accions as loving, I wouldn't dream of forcing my wife to sleep naked if she doesn't want to, or question her choices of breakfast to something I think is better, that's just not romantic. Perhaps it doesn't belong to nonconsent because he is not physically forcing her but let's not forget that he blackmail her treatning her carrer, forcing her into a position she was not confortable with. You wrote that your self, he keep silent to MAKE HER SEE THAT HE WAS IN CONTROL, that was creepy. It is not BDSM because he hasn't beat her up yet, mind control? But romance? It is the beauty of a romance story you don't need even the sex here or the sexual innuendo. It's about the way you get there. Sure they can have sex like crazy but love is in the air.

Very nice

While yes, Denny can come off as a bit creepy and controlling, he seems to truly love and care for Alessa. He is trying to show her a life that is not just work and sleep, but love, excitement, and adventure. At least that is how I see it. A fantastic story!

I disagree with the anon that says this isn't romance.

Yes, Denny is demanding and controlling but he is also attentive to Alessa's feelings and needs. He has taken the time to get to know her, to encourage her, to help her conquer some of her fears. Has he manipulated the situation and stirred her desires? Yes but he has never done anything she hasn't wanted and has offered to stop if she seemed uncomfortable.

I find his dominance to be sexy, (as does Alessa, clearly) and I find him tempering his dominance for her to be very romantic. I think understanding someone's wants and desires and putting them first, despite your own feelings, is romantic. He is courting her and is dedicating himself to one girl, even though she's not a sure thing. That's romantic.

Romance isn't all hearts and flowers. The key is providing each person with what they need to feel loved and cherished. Denny is doing that for Alessa.

I'm really enjoying your story, Titania, and look forward to more.

Better

If this were a standalone story and not one chapter out of a small collection. I would say that it's perfect. Denny is coming across as attentive, loving and even protective in some ways. It is not always bad to have your partner challenge what you are comfortable with--as Denny is. Rather, good partners and good lovers introduce new experiences and encourage growth and broaden horizons. In that case, I think Denny is quite a good character.

HOWEVER, this is not a standalone story. And I must say that this is an excellent though rare example of harmony. It has stricken the right balance between Denny's good traits--caring, attentive, interested and affectionate--and his bad ones--manipulative and demanding. This story is excellent. But it is excellent as the product of Denny's evolving character. But I think more importantly, you're evolving writing.

Hats off to you. And best wishes that you continue to strike this balance.

I found Denny to be a little more agreeable in this scene and I am actually starting to like his character.

to the Anon that can see why this is view as romantic

It is obvious that this is view as a romance because this what most people see as romantic, even when is wrong it is the reality for many like this cantfightfate person obviously ( by the way Alessa doesnt exist it is a figment of the imagination of Titania123), she her self finds this type of actions endearing, because weather we like it or not a person with a dependent personality like Alessa chick is described works better with someone from a cluster c personality in this case a narcissistic such as Denny, most succesful marriages are pair this way, both are sick one needs to be controlled and the other to control some one to get what he or she wants, is it right? Ofcourse not! But to many people it is the reality, he gets jealous and possesive because he loves me so much! On so many other examples, we all have our demons but most of us all are not sick and can see the difference between loving and caring and manipulative and posessive, I read the previous work for this author and she views a rape scene as romantic and lets not get taking about the other one. The story is good and kinky, don't analyce to much, you are making people think and lets face it this just the fiction of ones mind. Some will find it endearing some will not, those will just move on my friend, keep peace of mind there is nothing wrong with fantasy for all those who like this and for you Anon who found this not romantic it is also fine but a tip for sake of your sanity move on to wattpad you will be happy dude. But lets be sure we know how to differenciate reality from fantasy, I know! I can play spank my gilfriend in bed knowing that she is a black belt and can pin a 198 pound man in two moves but I know my limits and I know hers and I will never crossed them it is about respect. Cheers

Chapter 16 Update...

I plan to finish 16 this weekend and then will send it off to the editor. Since it will get to her at the end of the weekend instead of the beginning I'm not certain how quickly she can turn it around for me as she is a very busy woman, but maybe I can post by the middle of next week. If this changes too outrageously, I will let everyone know.

Thanks for your support!

wait...what?

I don't know if anyone noticed but apparently both Denny and Alessa can run a five minute mile. Are they olympiads?
