You write well, both technically and descriptively. With just a couple more paragraphs you could have told us why she was there, what they meant to one another. As it is, the only thing we know is that they aren’t a couple— that she isn’t sneaking in to surprise her lover. We know that because she’s not Jerika. If you told us why she was there, what she wanted, what her motivations were, it would be a far better story.
