I think what I like most about these short glimpses you give us into your protagonists is the interesting dynamic you've created: Shaie is obviously the more enigmatic one, but even with Jamie there's a lot of blanks for your readers to guess at. Very well written and I sincerely hope that you continue to explore their relationsship!
