"Toku honore. Aroha nui." I placed the ring on him, a perfect fit, naturally and stood up.
"Nui toku aroha ki a koe." He grinned.
"Your parents are gonna be so stoked."
Were they ever. Leo couldn't keep his mouth shut for a second. He basically led himself into the room by his ring. Mum noticed immediately and jumped up, hugging Leo tightly. I sighed and shuffled in next to Dad.
"Well I guess she gets the son she's always wanted." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't forget she married a pakeha. She's always been proud of you." He looked at the two of them who were still babbling as Mum inspected the ring. "Congratulations." Dad grinned.

Anonymousover 3 years agoEven though a huge part of this was in another language, it was a great story and was able to generally be followed. Might have been nice to have translations to be able to really know all that was said. Leo and Andy are great together though!
