Possibly beyond the house situation.
"Just... we need to be careful, Jay. We still don't know everything you can do, but Lilly and I will have to hold back a lot." Layla had shown herself to be intelligent and observant... at least as far as it came to people, if not stovetops.
"No joke. Still, you have about thirty minutes until I leave here to start heading back. Oh, and one other thing."
"Yes?"
"Don't let her touch the stove."

OtterlyMindblowing9 months agoAuthorGood news, Magicif. At this time, I am actively writing chapter 12 of the story. It will be the last or next-to-last of the series, since the characters and situation have gotten to where I can’t really convince them to keep going. Dropping some explicit world hooks for if I ever decide to go back to it, or if anyone wants to take up the banner. Under Pressure will continue to release a chapter a month until complete, it is not abandoned.
Magicif9 months agoOh, I hope you haven't abandoned this series! I was really enjoying it. Personally, I am pulling for good-hearted Layla to transform into a red-haired siren but, as you said in your comment, surprises are coming. Please, please, please finish the series!
