Great Story!!!!!

I'm a musician also, and I really loved your story

Very Very Nice

I like everything about this story, especially the way it was artfully constructed so as not to spoil the ending.

For a first story this is great. Please write more!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 15 years ago
Oh so well done.

I'll bet it brings an ache to the heart of every one who loved and lost and never forgot. And thank you for keeping it "romantic" in this season of Valentines Day as you added just enough spice but didn't let it dominate so the interplay between characters could come to the fore. The use of the daughter was well thought out and the interweaving of time periods too.

Gorgeous, romantic story

There are so few second chances in life! Great story, I hope you do well with it in the contest.

One of the winners, I think(:

You know, I don't know why I even read this piece, or how I got to this page. But when I started with the first couple of paragraphs, I couldn't seem to stop myself from moving on to the next one, and the next one, and the next next one! There is something about music that makes stories (or even scenes) just magical. I'm not saying that the story is perfect, but it is close. I spotted a tense error in page 2/3 and a name-confusion on the last one, but those are really minor matters as compared to the beauty of the story. Really good work! I hope you win(:

Really lovely...

Enjoyed the tale very much, thus my score... if I could make one tiny suggestion for the future however, in the first conversations between Jill and George, they use each other's name alot, more than seems natural - its a little distracting and makes the dialogue a wee bit stilted. This barely detracts from the overall quality of the story, I just thought I'd let you know :)

AnonymousAnonymousabout 15 years ago
Perhaps

While, to my personal taste, there are a couple of stories I place ahead of this one,it is a very good story and well written and earns its victory.

George & Jill Went Up the Hill ...

Wow!! This HOT SEX ROMANCE is the perfect story for Valentine's Day. The writing is excellent, the emotional nuances well developed. It's just too bad that so many years passed between their initial Love at First Kiss and her reawakening at hearing his eternal love song. But from here on it will be glorious and deeply romantic for the lovers and their beautiful grown daughter. May hot loving endure! I adore this sensitive tale.

WOW... this was a great story. I normally don't read these type of stories, but once I started reading I couldn't stop. I loved it. I can see why you won. It reminded me of a love that I lost, I would give anything to have a second chance like Jill and George. Like I said great story keep up the great work. I would love to read more of your work.

What a slut!

Two weeks before she marries her husband she has an affair to some low life musician and he impregnates her! That's what you call a slut!

Ah, some people just don't get it. What a wonderful story this is. A top-notch romantic story. I laughed out loud at the "Mother!...You brought him home?" line. Good stuff.

Thank you, GB_Marvel.

Terrific!

I just read this for the second time and it is still one of the best stories i've ever read on Literotica. A true romance. Yes, a little far fetched, but when you're in Fantasyland in Lliterotica, anything is believable. Yes she was unpardonably unfaithful, yes it's beyond comprehension that he remained unmarried for 21 years, yes it's unlikely that Mark would stay with her when she obviously had another man's child while married to him, yes it's unlikely that Rachel would take her own origins so lightly. But when you think of the pure joy that comes from that last page of reunion and regaining lost love, it's just a beautiful feeling. Every once in a while I regret that the ratings don't go above 5* (or below 1*). but here is one of those 10* stories. Thank you once again for the good feelings that come from stories like this.

I nearly wept when reading this, you brought memories rushing back of a somewhat similar period of my past life. Please write until it hurts, you have so much talent,I can only be so jealous of you.

How sad for everyone. Jill, George, Rachel and Mark.

I'd only blame Jill a little, she hadn't learned to dare her own future. And maybe, if everyone around her had been less happy not for, but through her and had actually tried to see her, she could have found someone to confide in.

But I also really feel for Mark here, who got betrayed by cheating, then marriage to someone, who didn't love him, then finding out his daughter was by another man.

Where's George?

This is one of my favorite stories. Too bad the author isn't contributing here any more.

Of all the stories on this site...

...this is the one i liked best.

If you haven't read it, read it now. You will want to read it more than once.

Being a musician myself I readily identified with the storyline however not having their experience I found myself more than a bit envious. It’s a great story. In my enjoyment, if there were any mistakes, in my enjoyment I glazed right over them.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

How sad that the author has left only this single story as their legacy here. That being said, it certainly is a magnificent offering, and even after 14 years is still at the top of its category! Many belated thank you's for this classic tale. 5 stars!

JuanTwoNoJuanTwoNo10 months ago

Outstanding! The authors only story here, and that 14 years ago. In the world of music that would be called "a one hit wonder." And like Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind," a timeless classic.

Magic_CapMagic_Cap7 months ago

Quite nice story, a lot of emotion, little sex - actually pretty much to my liking.

Unfortunately, the shifts between flashbacks and present are a bit "rough" in my humble opinion, I needed a moment each time to realize in which time frame the story actually took place.

Therefore just 4/5 stars.
