"I uh, it's Michael, please," Michael said.
"Hmm? Oh, okay, might get it wrong couple times," Mrs. Cahill agreed. "Been calling you Mickey all this time you know."
"Hi Michael; nothing for me?" Lori cooed, batting her eyelashes.
"Not this time," Michael smiled.
"What about me?" Yvette cooed, earning herself a murderous glare from Lori.
"Mope," Michael said, pushing the cart out of the office.
Fifty minutes later, Mrs. Cahill held up three envelopes. Lori smiled and got to her feet.
"Oh, Mrs. Cahill, I can take that," Yvette suggested.
"Oh, no ma'am," Lori hissed. "Michael's MINE, hear?"

SiamKittabout 1 month agoLoved the story, Lori really had him in her sights..& handled his initial apprehension knowing/hoping he'd come round, & still appreciate her beauty. All ended well, & both seemed well matched. I think there,s scope for a pt 2, but maybe not a series. Thank you J.B.

Anonymousover 4 years agoWell that was certainly different. It was not my favorite of Jim Bob's stories, as I'm just not into that type of stuff. But, from a strictly storytelling aspect, JB rules again. He tells a great story about real life. You feel like these are people you know. Objectively speaking, all likes and dislikes aside, this is yet another 5 for him.
