Always like different stories, and this was different, thanks.

But the wife was about to go out and seduce not one but two men. She thought her marriage was over, simply because they hadn't seen each for a while. What sort of wife is this? If my wife admitted that she was going out with a man from the gym and she was going to seduce her old school boy-freind. I would be VERY concerned. In fact the main issue I would have is trust. It would take a VERY long time before I could trust her again. The story was well written and the idea is okay but there are quite a few things that need addressing. Anyway I hope it did work out for them.

nope, i agree with jaded one. i mean come on, she was going out to fuck her old high school crush and she was dating her work out buddy. why should they stay married? if she was willing to cheat with two guys after only 6 months of no contact with her hubby, that doesnt bode well for their future. i say he should have left her and found someone who didnt settle for him and who could be trusted to not get some strange when hes out working.

I'd have given this story a "100" had it ended with her departure. It went from intriguing, to hot, to sweet, to heartbreaking. Original and realistic.

Didn't buy the reconciliation, though. He loved her when no one else did. Apparently, he made a hard choice to take a job abroad to support her. So while he's away working, she . . . joins a gym! While he's toiling for dollars to bring back in his pocket, she . . . takes money from her parents for elective cosmetic surgery! And takes on debt for elective eye surgery! Then she enters into what sounds like an emotional affair with one guy, while aiming for a physical affair with an old "fantasy." Ouch!

There were hints that he had not been an ideal husband before leaving, but they were not developed enough to balance out (much less, justify) her actions. Plus, if he wasn't that into her before, how could he be more into her after what she'd done? Because she looked better and was suddenly more sexual? I was disappointed that after such a good start, the story ended up feeling like just another "pitiful guy takes back the unfaithful selfish girl because she's hot" tale. Kinda ruined it for me.

<p>I guess I can get past the premise of the husband leaving for six months and not seeing or visiting the wife, that is a bit of a stretch, but like the other commentors, the fact that she was dating her gym partner, was trying to seduce her former flame, and then she only went after her husband because she changed her mind at the last minute about seducing a former flame, after months of making plans to be with other men killed it for me. Even though he was married, if she succeeded she was going to go after other men as well, leaving the husband.</p>

<p>Not to mention that she told him, various times in different ways, that even if they didn't work out she would land on her feet and get an new man in short order didn't help the story either. It made the husband look desperate like she was his only prospect for love and romance, and that prospect already lined up 2 men to replace him and suggested there were more in the wings just waiting. Not to mention all the times she said she didn't want to be married, so that's why she did what she did.</p>

<p>Just didn't like a story were the husband swallows all this disrespect for their marriage and can't wait to pretend she didn't do it all for someone else. She didn't say she did it for him, just that she was happy that he was the one that benefited from it. And that she said she started changing her look for "her", and now the benefit of her hard work was that she could have pretty much any man she wanted now.</p>

<p>Is that really what the husband should bank his marriage on? Such a shallow person? Sorry, just didn't really enjoy the ending well. It wasn't really either romance or a happy ending. Just the husband pretending that she still loves him because its the path of least resistance. :(</p>

Great story. In real life I am unsure the marriage could be saved.

Military men and many others are gone upto 1 year at a time. This isnt a horrible burden she faced.

She cheated on him. Maybe not physically, but she was only stopped by sheer luck. This might qualify as a romance but it is heavily tainted. He really would be better off finding someone different. This better belongs on the scumbag cheaters section.
