You made my morning.
Great to see how the story is developing.
I was saddened not to hear how Beth became reconciled with Thad; it must have been very special.
Looking forward to learning more about reconstruction and life at the Willows.

Well done. Looking forward to the next installment. 5 stars.
I'm glad this new chapter showed up today. It's a good story and I'm looking forward to seeing how it further develops.
Nice continuation of a good, well told story.
Please continue with this story. I realize this genre is not for everyone but being a romantic as well as a history buff I find it quite entertaining.
Thank you for your effort.
I am thoroughly enjoying the story line and your writing style.
Excellent story, Love the history. Hope more comes sooner rather than later. Five stars!
Can't tell you how much I loved seeing you continue this story. Reread the whole story it is that captivating.
Now, YDW, don't wait so damn long for the next installment.
YDW, historical novels are hard to write and keep them accurate, even the dialogue. I read everything you write, and have never been disappointed. Please keep the chapters coming.
A mixture of war and romance l’m Craving for the continuance of this novelette......
Has the potential of being one of the best stories. After 10 months we only get 2 pages????
More please. One of the best stories I have ever read on Lit. Please don't make us hang on too long for the next chapter.
Two strong willed characters, one male and one female, and a story that is fascinating and rockets along - can’t wait for the next chapter.
Thank you for your story.
I like your writing style. Please continue with this story. Thanks for your time and imagination.
As stated by prior comments, this is a great series and I look forward to future chapters.
Enjoying this very much. Can’t wait to find out what happens next. Uncle gets into it with harvesting timber, someone sets up a mill, Beth and Daughter move to Georgia, Thaddeus’s mom and Randolph run the farm in Kentucky, Carpetbaggers show up and Sheriff gets involved...and, of course, the Weddings! :)
Thanks again for your work.

Please continue this. It has been extremely enjoyable to read.
Will add my voice to the call for next chapter soon, please
Definitely in my top 3 ever here on literorica...
And one if those is also yours..
One of the best stories I have yet found on this site. Would hope that more will be coming, however it has been nearly a year and hopes fade. Nevertheless, bravos for it so far.
I’m really enjoying the story. Just the right amount, I.e. not overmuch, gratuitous sex, but the story is the Thing. Well done, wanting more
It seems that most of your stories never have a complete ending. It would be nice to have a complete ending.
I read the entire series, enjoyed the historic time period and location, superlatives are overused so I will say "well done" friend. One historical point you referred to Thunder as a Georgia Quarter Horse. The breed and term really didn't come into being until the 1940's thunder would have been a Thoroughbred, Saddlebred, possibly a Walking horse, or Morgan, more likely a crossbred mix. Regardless I enjoyed reading the series very much.
You are one of my favorites but please continue this one. Shannon needs a little brother and the staff at the Willows should treated well. Maybe send some to the KY home with their own piece of land.
Dear Author, Truly enjoyed your historical, love story. Another five star work. As you may have noticed, I am reading thru your entire listing, one at a time. Thank you, as usual, for a fine story and all it entailed. Please write a part 4 since I must know what happens to all the fine characters your have prepared for our enjoyment.

Terrific work! Highly recommended!
Looking forward to the rest of the story!
Sir,
I must confess that I have read this story over 4 times now and it is still a favorite of mine. Beautifully and tenderly written but I must add my voice to wanting.....MORE! Such a beautiful couple should warrant at least one more chapter! Thank you for your efforts and your talents.
It is more than infuriating that youdidwhut left so many unfinished stories. I have said it before and I don't care if the adminis dislike other site references but SOL handles this situation way way better. It tells you immediately if a story is unfinished when you look at the description. If I knew this wasn't done, I wouldn't have bothered.
Just when I was invested in hating Uncle Randolph, you hit me with a nice plot twist...
Excellent story but it needs to have more to it. PLEASE finish the story ... I can think of at least 5 more chapters that need to be written. Please continue the work!
Excellent story totally ruined for lack of a continuation and an ending. Frankly had I known that the story would be abandoned in such a manner, I would never have started to read it!!! 5*s wasted on the previous Chapters, to get to this stage! 2*s.
So look....... No ending? Decent writing....... Great concept...... Interesting historical background...... Then you just leave us hanging!
Kind of a waste......
I'm thinking literotica had the whole story here a couple of years ago, but we've not heard from this author for a long time....
Is there a reason stories would just drop off the site 🤔?
I loved what you have written to this point , the characters seem lifelike and when pray tell are you going to introduce more ?
The seemingly abandoned tale is the prime reason I'm loathe to begin a multi-part story until all the chapters ae posted. This is an excellent story and well written, alas the likelihood is that we'll never see another word of it.
The hostile comments about this story being unfinished are unworthy of the commenters. Here are three reasons why those who are criticising it for this reason should pull their heads in.
1. It’s free. Gift horse, mouth.
2. It’s well written, plotted, and has fascinating characters in an historically accurate setting. You’re criticising something that is objectively good.
3. We none of us have any idea what has happened to cause the story to be unfinished. God forbid, it could easily be that the author has died.
Excellent but too short. Why is this story left unfinished it has the potential of greatness. One of the best I have ever read. Please return to it and finish this great tale.
So sorry to see this story end with all of us left hanging out there hoping to see what happens next. I'm guessing after five years without being added to we'll just have to enjoy what story we have and let our imaginations do the rest. I even enjoyed the brief history lesson about the war and its aftermath. Still gets five stars, regardless.
I’ve enjoyed reading this series. Your characters are interesting, believable, and likable, and the story is interesting and just a bit unpredictable. Perhaps the best part for me is the well-researched, neatly-described setting. I always enjoy well-written historical fiction, and you’ve filled that bill!
As far as the continuation of the story, I too would love to read it. Of course only you can live your life, but know that you have an appreciative audience waiting if your muse returns to this tale and you can make it happen.
For what you’ve written so far, thank you for writing and thank you for sharing your work.
What a great read. I generally do not like time travel or the Civil War! The author went above explaining things I didn't know about the times. He or she hasn't written since 2018 leaving this incomplete. Even So... Its worth the read!
Thank you for this wonderful story, and for remaining true to the histology of the time period. Do you plan on continuing the tale?
You left the story unfinished. Its very frustrating to start and become invested in a yarn to have it half finished.
Just another unfinished story so I will not vote until it done. Good start though.
