What a hoot! Simple story, easy to follow, no surprises, and a fun read! Thank you for your take on the US pulp detective story,

I am surprised this story didn't have more comments. It was light hearted and clever, with little sprinkles of dark humor. It is perfect for the Christmas season. Also a Father Christmas who is willing to bump off his own son, to save Christmas, is bizarre, but interesting. It was almost a Abrahamic mythos moment in the making, but with a revolver and a wife who knew about kevlar, instead of a dagger and a deus ex machina ram delivery.
