Well done!

Now and then a writer can take a plot we have seen, and used, many times in the past and shine it up. That's when we realize why the loving wives category is so popular. We all know that the same five or six stories are told over and over. How many ways can we writers cover marriage, infidelity and temptation? Jack_Straw has delivered a well paced, romantic feel-good story with this effort and I thank him for it.

Why don't these type stories have their own site for angry, abusive, lack of self worth and self confidence mmales.

a bit trite, but good enough over all. I missed more involvement by the kids. Also, 2 adults and 2 teens in a 1000 square foot house? Thats asking for trouble.

A good read, as always

The story had no suspense but it went down

smoothly and made the day pleasanter. Nice to know

that someone was able to count on his friends, though the

wife apparently did not have any idea that she was living

in a goldfish bowl!

The lawyer was guilty of jumping before he studied the

terrain.

To "Garbage" and "nice enough"

Dear Garbage, re-read your incoherent statement and you will see why "garbage" is so appropriate for your comments. You obviously didn't read the same high quality story I read. Get your hand off your pecker and stop being disappointed that it wasn't a jerk-off story.

Dear Nice Enough, I know of a family of seven people who lived in a 1,000 sqft home in Detroit suburbs. All five kids went to college and are now VERY successful in their professions and have influence with many high ranking people in the political and business worlds. It's not the size of the house but the size of the loving hearts in that house that makes the difference.

Very good job of writing Jack Straw.

A nice read. But also a surprise. I'm getting to be surprised when an author on this site seems to know how to use the English language well. Keep it going!!

Good Storytelling

A well told tale of a wife targeted by a predatory male. It was a nice touch using the couple's daughter as the mother's wake-up-call.

25 years ago my wife was taken to lunch by a predator in the firm where she worked as a receptionist. He proposed that they have a "nooner" in his words. She was still in shock when she told me about it that evening. The kind of thing described by the author can happen to anyone at any time.

Thanks for the story, jack_straw.

A very good read. Most women dont mature

until they reach thier thirties or so and this wife went thru a stage of growing up suddenly. Childhood dreams of lust and marriage often ruin many women's lives. They get married to young, have to many children, them wind up divorced on a working girls salary. This couple has something going for them, they married in lust but in this case lsut and love were intermingled. Once the wife realized thru the intersection of her daughter that she was destroying her life, her marriage, and her family she finally matured into an adult and realized she really was her husbands wife. I do have a question, why be concerned of having children in your forties? Most women have children to young and before their maturity makes real mothers of them. I am a married male, second marriage, getting near seventy. My mid forties wife and I have two children, one eight and one five. Tell me again what the problem is. Age isnt a factor in having children, maturity and ability to take care of the children is.

Real

At last a real loving wives story. We all have temptation thrown at us sometime in our lives how we handle it is important. Truth and trust are paramount in marriage if people dont go along with that then they should'nt get married. You get jail time for purgery after you have sworn to tell the truth so help you god and tell a lie, so why does'nt this happen in marriage ?

KOLKOREKOLKOREabout 16 years ago
He is with the union

It felt like a slice of life story from a different era. Sad to say that with the decline of grass root and civil society organizations more and more people are turned into insulated powerless loners.

Not so here! Strong and close net of caring and loving people stand by you. I can't remember when I last seen a story with this kind of social emphasis as opposed to the regular Rambo -karate man Marlboro man go it alone crappola.

To top it all, you put the surprising twist two thirds into the story, where most don't expect the twist to be, and you respected the usually much maligned woman character -extra bravo for that!

cageyteecageyteeabout 16 years ago
I agree with HDK!

Jack has taken the "same old . . . same old" and re-arranged it into a delightful story. It seems to me that is now the task of those who post in LW and Jack has done it exceedingly well. A very, very small point . . . Crown Royal is rye whiskey (sometimes called Canadian Whiskey) not bourbon.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 16 years ago
There are very few...

author who can create multi-faceted characters in a short story. There are even fewer in Literotica. Jack has done it very well. I disagree with Crabtree that the same old has been done to death. Each story that creates a unique character is a different story, and is new and fresh. The reactions of those character are endless.

The problem I see is that the Muslim censors only accept stories that conform to their sick ethic of "Stone the adulteress." It is hard to show a fanatic in any other light, which has been done to death. This story would have been good even if she had cheated. Would our hero's forgiveness (which was very well stated) never allow him to get past the pain? I'd love to see that story) I digress. One of the things that made this story special, and it would have been if she cheated or not, was the way Jack surrounded the principals with interesting spear carriers. The daughter peeking 'round the corner. The boss whose plate is too full.

Jack has created a community, of the sort that most of us would love to be a part of. Although there are those who complain that the lack of privacy is stifling, most of us want a place where everyone knows your name.

I could go on about the insight into the character of folks who follow a different path than college, by choice, and the pressure our evolving society puts on that choice.

However, I'd rather air my pet peeve about unions and the destructive influence of them on the "working man." All one has to do is look at the living standard of auto workers in non-union shops to understand that they are far better off than their counterparts in the dying companies burdened with the union mindset. Even the un-American idea that somehow moving into "management" would be disloyal is encouraged. How sick is that? Does a man's job change his moral values, his character?

I could go on, and frequently do, but my point is that Jack did a wonderful job of showing the mentality of a "union man," while at the same time showing that the "union" world view didn't help. What was more important, his union connect to politicians, or the shady characters? What played more heavily on the slime ball's choice, the union or the life connections to movers and shakers?

Sorry, it's a tough soapbox to get down from. My favorite author on this site died recently and I stopped reading the stories here. I'm glad to see that there are others who I can enjoy as much as I did Josephus' work. I do wish someone would finish Dilemma.

Very nice

Jackstraw, I knew that this story was heading for a fine score when the daughter said her piece. Sure we have seen the "just miss" stories before, but this was a nice way of driving the point home.

My only wonder is what went through her mind when she changed her outfit? Shame at seeing her actions through her daughter's eyes? Guilt? Or just the sick feeling of getting caught.

That does bring up one other point. Why did she even bother to show up for the dinner? She had to know that her husband would hear about the "dinner" and about how she originally dressed (and her later changing) as soon as he got home.p>

Oh well just something to ponder.

Keep up the good work.

Nice change

It is a nice change seeing a story where there is temptation, disillusionment, but having friends and family to shack us out of our comfortable life toface reality. It's nice to see not everyone is totally driven by selfish desires without a thought of what it will cost.

Everyone, I mean everyone, male and female, goes through tests like this one. It show us what we are really made of and if we are the person we thought we were.

Very good Story

Just 2 things I didn't like:

1. That she was warned by her Daughter. That is just as bad as if she would have been warned by her husband and has the same problem: Namely that it wasn't really her decision to call it off. All we know now is that she is 'clever' enough not to cheat 'in broad daylight', not that she is loyal enough not to cheat.

2. It was a bit cheesy that suddenly Hubby knew everyone and his dog. I don't like stories where the 'cheatee' suddenly is revealed to be an ex-Navy-SEAL/Killercyborg and kills everyone, including his cheating wife, her lover and Sarah Conner.

Of course this here is a far cry from that but it has I bad taste.

BTTapBTTapover 12 years ago
Very good exploration

Well written and told a lot of story in a short format. I agree to a point with the last commentator: the daughter's intervention kind of takes away somewhat from the decision the wife made. As she herself admitted, if her daughter was talking about divorce and cheating, then maybe hubby might know, too. I also wonder how naive the wife must have been: they live in a somewhat small community, the big boss at her work is a life-long close friend of hubby, she goes out twice for girls night out at a local spot and she is seen publicly carrying on with flirting and dancing with this seducer, and she then goes out to dinner (and originally plans on wearing a very slinky dress, etc.) at a local restaurant with the seducer. Her hubby is very much a part of the community, as is she, as are their respective families. She has to realize that word would get out about her "secret" intimate meetings with the new man in town. She has to realize that the shoe will drop. That whole part is what makes it all a little hard to believe. I would have preferred that the wife come to her realization with something less than the daugher accusing her of intending to cheat on her father and predicting divorce. It would have made the wife's motivation in backing out of the seduction more about love for hubby and family (and fear of losing both, certainly), and less about pure fear of getting found out (as it was obvious to her daughter).

Nevertheless, really good.

From the mouth of babes...

It was interesting to read her thinking of excuses while realizing they were bullshit... and not paying attention to that little voice in her head until the voice of her daughter made it blatantly clear what was at risk...

To her credit, she was competing against a professional seducer of women... can't completely blame her for at least falling for what he was dishing out - though it wouldn't have excused her for following through, if she had...

WAKE UP AND DEAL WITH IT, GUYS.... NEARLY ALL WOMEN ARE WHORES AT HEART.

Like it or not... believe it or not... there are damned few women who can be truly trusted to keep their legs together if they're 99% sure that they have a clear shot at fucking a guy they want to fuck and getting away with doing it.

For women, their cunt is their tool. They use it to get their boyfriends and husbands. They use it to get their husband or boyfriend to buy things and do things for them. They use the promise of their pussy to get them to buy them nice clothes, take them to fancy restaurants and to take them to plays, movies, dancing and to other social events. They do it because they're whores who barter with fucks in lieu of cash. Being married is security and a convenience... and also sometimes an inconvenience but they'll definitely fuck a man they're not married to if they want his cock and they're sure they can have it without their husband ever knowing they did it or of their excitement while fucking and sucking it.

Take what I've written as testimony from a very experienced man who's had a thirty five year career of fucking attractive engaged and married women. Women DO love big cocks. Do NOT believe their bullshit about size not mattering to them. When they see what I'm going to shove up into their cunts, I see their eyes glaze over. Whether they're nineteen or forty five years old, their cunts are soaked and ready for action. They start taking stupid risks to keep fucking me and I have to be the one who protects them from themselves by teaching them HOW to cheat and not get caught or raise suspicions.

I've never needed to get married because, in my position, I have access to thousands of wives. When I choose the one I want to fuck, I've rarely missed... and I do mean RARELY. Some of them put up a light resistance AFTER their panties are off because they want to believe they were 'forced' but they were married whores who took my cock and my cum into their cunts and their mouths... and sometimes their asses. Whenever they ask me to use a condom, I always say, "I never use one on a woman as beautiful as you are. I want to feel myself making love to YOU, not a piece of latex." and that's all it takes.. not another word about using a condom. I fuck them bareback and cum in them. The excitement of being fucked by a thick ten inch cock and then having me gush cum into them thrills them like they've never felt before. (that's how it's been described to me dozens of times)

MY HONEST AND BEST ADVICE....

TRUST BUT VERIFY... THAT MEANS PAY ATTENTION AND BE WATCHING. WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING GOING DOWN, 'SHOW UP UNEXPECTEDLY' TO CHECK AND INTERRUPT IT. .... AND NEVER, EVER TRUST YOUR WOMAN TO BE ALONE WITH A MAN THAT SHE GETS ALONG WITH, WHO MIGHT BE AN APPEALING FUCK FOR HER BECAUSE, SOONER OR LATER, SHE WILL. IT'S HER NATURE. SHE MAY BE YOUR WOMAN BUT SHE'S ALSO A WHORE.

Life's Decisions

Johnny had one thing right, she had to realize what was at risk and make the decision not to let sweet talker into her panties. In life everyone faces temptations and the decisions we make mold the rest of our lives. I am glad her daughter rattled her cage and made her wake up.

As for the person calling all females whores, what does it make you for constantly chasing another mans prize? Food for thought is it that all women arr easy or that you chase the easy ones.

She Was A Cheat! Read The Story.

Patricia was already having a affair, a emotional affair.

The dirty dancing...well would she do the in front of her husband? Cheating!

Johnny was going to let Patricia make her decisions without intervention to see if she would make the RIGHT decision.

If not for her daughter, Patricia would have been flat on her back under Mr. Slick.

The author undermines their own story by having the daughter provide an intervention.

This ruined any reconciliation since intervention was provided and Patricia reacted to that, not her morals, not her marriage vows, not her love for her husband, just because Brittany guilted her into backing out.

FAILED STORY Due To The Author Not Keeping True To His Own Story.

As to the story, I don't think I would take her back. The only thing that stopped her was her daughter's reference to a divorce in a chance conversation. Her "love" for her husband certainly didn't stop her. I don't think you can trust her from then on. It was an emotional affair. I would always be wondering if she would fall for it the next time, especially if the daughter is not available by chance. Sure you can love a cheater, and forgive them, but that doesn't mean you should stay with them. Lack of trust will doom any marriage.

How most white collar elitists believe all blue collar workers are uneducated, ignorant morons. Years ago, a construction worker and govt official were having debate in a bar. Blue collar guy was winning when govt guy said if you are so smart why are you doing the job you are. WhenI was in college I did that work for a week. I quit because I knew I wasn't so IGNORANT I couldn't find other work. Construction worker just smiled. He began wearing baseball caps embroidered IGNORANT ONE-EYED HOD CARRIER.

Those who knew him were aware he had 145 IQ, was valedictorian in high school, president of National Honor Society, editor of literary magazine, Elks Most Valuable Student, scored 99 percentile on college entrance and NEDT exams, was extremely well read and exceptionally well spoken. He loved working with hands and had been promised a mason apprenticeship that never came to fruition.

As Brittany was the real hero of this event!

This was a excellent story of a true American hero. The little guy who makes up 90% of the American male population. They have to fight those rich buggers to prevent them from stealing their women when the rich guys flash their money.

This one works

A straight-up guy raher than a sociopath for once. Only problem I had was he just had to be the local union head, would have made a better story if he really was just a working class guy - and given he kmows the head of the firm anyway, he didn't need that extra.

Why weren't they using birth control though?

A true hero

He handled his business without violence and with finality. Hate to think what would have happened to the snake if he.had tried to force himself on Patricia.

A good read

But he said he could forgive but never forget. He tells her to forget it but let's hope he never does. Because it was cheating! Time may temper emotional slights but stay vigilant! And a general question. Why is a girl's night out, without your spouse, with slow dancing involved, with other men, not considered a prelude to disaster on this or any site? I don't consider myself a Neanderthal but that is a "Oh, hell no!", but I'm not a cuckold either. Just curious

Divorce her

The only reason she stopped was because if the daughter. She did cheat emotionally if not doing the actual deed.

the daughter is better than any marriage counselor

the truth of the kids put an end to the almost affair but it took to long for her to realize why she had.

Got Off Too Easy

William Broadacres needed to be dismantled, so he'd present no threat at his next assignment. The bloody man is a menace to other men's wives and needs to be taken down!! Good read. 5 *s.

She Cheated

Just because Patricia did not fall into bed with the asswipe Broadacres, didn't mean she hadn't cheated!! She discussed her dissatisfaction with her marriage and her wants and desires with another man. Total disrespect to a husband who broke his back to provide for his family. Had it not been for the succinct analysis of events by her daughter, she would have ended up fucking the slime ball and shitting on her marriage. Subsequent regret and remorse would have been of no consequence. Very well written plot.5*s.

Agree

This was one of Jack's best. He writes lot of pure garbage, but he knocked a few out of the park. This was one of the latter.
