"You are tired," she observed. "You should retire."
"No, I'm fine," Asha insisted. "I can stick around."
"There is no need," Breath replied. "We will meet again. I have enjoyed your company." She stood and Asha, obedient to a fault, rose with her.
"Well..." Asha cleared her throat, again. "Thanks for having me."
"Thank you for your time," Breath replied, walking her to the door. "I hope to see you again, soon." She opened the door, Asha stepped out, and suddenly she was alone again in the corridor.
The moment the door closed, several men in suits came running towards her -- the ambassador's aides. One of them, an older woman with dark hair, reached her first.
"Well?" she demanded. "What happened? Are they gonna cure cancer?"
