2nd time reading this story, and my only complaint remains the same... There isn't enough of it!

It's a lovely little vignette, but there isn't enough of it to really savor it... It's come and gone in a flash...

That said, it's got all a short story like this needs. It's complete in itself and just very well done.

You could well become my author of choice for when I have a few minutes to kill and need a quick pick-me-up to put a smile back on! Well written, enjoyable and readable all the parts were there. Could have used a little more fluff (page or two) or epilogue. We all know they will all live happily ever after.....If Dad has run out of 12 gauge shells or some one welded the muzzle of his Mossberg shut. I have 3 granddaughters and a t-shirt that reads “Guns don’t kill people grandpa’s with cute young granddaughters do!” Oh, and their dad collects swords! 14 years is a bit much if one is 18.
