Legend states that vampires are evil monsters that prey upon humanity. The legends are wrong. The members of the Bătrân, the source of vampire legends, uphold their sworn oath to protect humanity from the demons, the succubi and incubi that fed upon them like cattle. From time before memory, Bătrân and demon have engaged in sexual battle, taking and giving inner-light, in a war where there can be but one survivor.
