I would just like to say that I am very new to this. I gladly accept criticism on my stories in order to improve your reading experience.
For anybody that's waiting, Chapter 2 is on its way shortly.
Also, I appreciate everyone's feedback. As I said, I am new to this so I know I have a lot more to learn about writing so I'm taking advice on techniques and perspectives very seriously.
Note: Thanks to the people who pointed out the month in the story. It was originally meant to take place in the winter, but in the midst of changing it to the summer, I guess I forgot to change the month. Stupid mistake, I know, but it's all part of learning. Now I know to take a bit more time going over everything to avoid simple little mistakes like that lol.
