The stripping of an imperious self-centered woman in front of those who she considers to be beneath her is a favorite theme of mine. I expect its origins trace back to my seeing the "Beginner's Luck" episode of The Little Rascals as a kid. My Mrs. Parnell character - while fictional - is based on an incredibly supercilious woman who most definitely fits that bill. Many of the supporting characters in her stories are composites of actual women who the "real" Mrs. Parnell looked down upon for years. In these stories those women are finally able to exact a bit of fictional revenge!
