It is the product of what I am told is my exuberantly dark imagination. I've literally been working on the book for decades, starting with early chapters written in a spiral notebook and ending with stolen half hours away from my other responsibilities -- staying afloat at work, gluing my family together, doing my share to keep the world from ending -- you know, the usual. My characters have become my friends. They have also led me to friends who exist in the world outside of my imagination, who reached out to me after reading chapters online.
