Hi. Let me start this off with stating that this creative outlet has been a blessing. Sounds dramatic, but I’m grateful that I no longer feel like I’m ‘screaming into the void’ whenever I write. Complete opposite, actually, given how encouraging / constructive this space has been. Prior to 2020, I just journaled my thoughts, so it still trips me out that I’m not the only one reading my writing anymore… And yeah, bottom line, I love sharing on this platform. My time here has been such a blast.

That said, letting people read my stories for free 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 mean I’m fine with somebody else passing them off as theirs. Not cool–never okay. I was hoping it was an unfortunate one-off when this happened with ‘Firestorm,’ but sadly, no… This time though, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 of my stories were published and sold on Kindle by another complete stranger. They even used the same titles and word-for-word descriptions. Although the ‘covers’ were comically 𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭, and their page has since been taken down, I still find the whole situation gut-wrenching. This may be ‘just erotica’ and many may believe ‘it’s not that deep,’ but to me—𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴. These characters, in particular... Yes, they’re fictional, but I care about them. A lot.

When it comes to 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 publishing in the future, there are things I’m not ready to decide on yet. Having my potential choices and timeline influenced by plagiarizing opportunists is messed up though… And honestly, so disheartening. If you see my stories being sold on any platform, please, please let me know. To those who’ve expressed interest in buying monetized versions of my work, that’s an honor and I appreciate it!
