Long time reader looking to try my hand at writing fiction. I write sales stories and proposals for a living so wanted to kickstart the creative juices and gain some perspective from experienced writers and editors.

I don't write stroke stories. I write longer, slower stories with some character development, so be prepared for 20k+ words, even if 10k would suffice. If I do write a shorter story, it will be for specific effect rather than prurience.

Ugh, just blew up a story I'd been working on, on and off, for the last year. I just couldn't get the tone right. Working on something different while a take it back to the drawing board.
