When I wrote "Heart in Darkness", I seriously thought there would be no point in acknowledging the person who inspired Heather, but Hailey Mia is once again in the spotlight, this time on American Idol, and last time on the Voice.
I'm a retired novelist. I was tired of dealing with the publishers, publicists, editors, re-writes, deadlines, crying, begging, pleading, excuses, etc. and was old enough and financially secure enough, so I retired.
After a couple of years enjoying my leisure, but missing the writing, I've decided to vent a little steam with some short stories published on here.
When I say 'short stories', I'm using the word as intended. A short story is anything under about 60,000 words, but longer than 10,000 words. If you're looking for the typical 1,000-2,000 words as you find on here that are called short stories, you probably will never find that from one of my publications.
I'm allowing Voting and Comments on my work, but Comments are limited to those willing to register and sign on with an account. My comments will probably be highly curated, so if I delete your comment, that just means that there was nothing redeeming about it. I hate fluff both in stories and in comments. A comment saying only that you loved it is just as likely to get deleted as a comment saying you hated it only. In fact, a comment pointing out something specific the reader disliked is less likely to be deleted than a comment just saying the reader loved it more than life itself without saying why.
Anything (comments or feedback, public or private) seeking information on what I published in my previous life will be ignore and deleted. I won't mix my former mainstream publishing career with my smut writing.
I don't see me ever publishing anything in more than one installment. There is no point. When I decide something is done, it's done. Don't ask for additional installments, please. I hate when people do that, like they know better when a story is over than the writer does. If you want more at the end, that just means I've done my job correctly.
