Male, 60+, writer of erotica. To bring the reader in to a story, make them see what you see, make them feel what you feel, so they can visualize what is happening inside their head, like watching a film or play. In writing, that's what I aspire to do.
I have been writing erotica off and on since the mid 90's. As there were very few outlets for graphic adult-oriented stories, I often posted stories in the Newsgroups in the alt. section. Generally, I tend to write from a first person standpoint, although that varies according to the subject matter. I tend to shy away from a lot of conversation between characters in the stories, as it can get convoluted and take away from the image I'm trying to show. But again, that varies from story to story.
