By Jack Gates.
Just another simple four letter word,
not the most fascinating, you've heard.
I guess, really it's the game of chance,
always there, through war or romance.
The day you were conceived it was fate,
worried Mum, because - you were late!
About that first day you went to school,
wrong school! Your Mum was the fool!
Mistakenly, you took Joe to be a friend,
the rotter proved you wrong, in the end.
Then, came the day when you were wed,
no suit, married in pyjamas, instead!
It is fate who guides us through life,
chose that harridan to be your wife.
She caused an horrendous news-flash,
when the bitch ran off with your cash.
Second wife came along, she was fun,
until in her cute oven you placed a bun.
Each morning you both looked sights,
cos new bairn gave you sleepless nights.
Then that new filly turned your head,
she didn't exactly drag you into her bed.
No, Sir! You went there as a volunteer,
it led to divorce, you shed another tear.
Since then you have spent life alone,
rheumatism pains, they made you moan.
Did fate make things pan out for you?
you'll say, no, thinking your lifes been blue.
I, think fates been real good to you, Mate,
not everyone ends up at the Heaven's Gate!
As narrated by the Angel, Gabriel.
