Three locks on my front door
Now that woman won't bother me anymore
They're pure trouble, no denying it
Now all I want is some peace and quiet
It happens time after time
I'll meet a girl at my favorite bar
Pretty soon I'm spinning some line
Just to get her into my car
At first it's fine, no complaints
Then I find I can't remember her name
Recriminations are made, fighting ensues
Pretty soon we're both singing the blues
I should have expected it
Know I should quit
But each time I swear to retire
I'm back feeding the fire
Some want back, Lord knows why
And willpower is in short supply
They're in my blood, a lifelong addiction
Although together we're a volatile combination
Lock,stock, and barrel
A country cutie named Cheryl
Thought she was a real live one
Then she told me she was under 21
Another, the house and white picket fence
Your Honor,in my defense
I wasn't looking to start a new life
I just wanted Miss Right Now,not a wife
Someone to help pass the night
Without starting some stupid fight
That's all I'm talking about
If she's out there, give me a shout
I've got three locks on my front door
Those women won't bother me anymore
It's deadlocked tight...
Until I step out at night
What about the needy addict within one's own soul ???!!
