Fleeting Moments

Breathe deeply girl
Cause here is it
You are giving in to being
Swept up inside those
Lost in a swirl instances
Rushing back ever so often
Just a hint of new revelations
You never thought to question

Just a glimpse into lives
You may have lived
Places we've all been
A half second understanding of
The unity of this world
We try so hard to separate
Ourselves within

Until that balance of
Our singular oneness
Is forever lost in a jarring daybreak
Of our acceptance in this reality
Breathe deeply, cause here it is
The tiny miracle of touch
Of skin and breath and wind
Washing over your body

Mimicking the pattern of your heart
The movements echo inside your soul
So complete for that moment in time
Everything equal in relation
To this revelation
That I and we and everything
Are all a part of the equation

The discovery of your senses
Just the right mix of certain stimulus
Taking you there again
Opening you from the inside
Welcoming what is offered
Loving the feel of a smile
Upon your face

Embrace the laughter rising out
Of your full to bursting heart
Touch the wind with your flesh
Allow the swirls to culminate
Within you and without
They are tying us all together
In that moment you allow

Slowly at first
It begins to slip away
Going softly
Lightly lapping waves remain
Close your eyes
Take back your breath

Body still swaying in time
To some lost rhythm
You intended to hold on to
Slowly fading and then gone
Like a whisper
Answering some question
You were never meant to ask
