It hit me
Like a ton of bricks

Once I released
Doubt
I gained
Truth

The doubt was laid
A booby trap in my mind
Waiting for me to try
And push my way past

And it held me
It held me fast
It held me tight
But you brought me
To the light

And now I see
Clear as day
Light revealing every
Detail

Every detail of how
I came to be stuck
Beneath the doubt
And the fear
And the guilt
And the anxiety

Hatching to this new
Reality
Will take some adjustment
Or maybe I'll take to it
Like a duck to water

But I do see now
I'm not going back into the dark
Never.

Beautiful truths

Are worth getting adjusted to, once visible. Lovely Poem!
