MY SONG

And before me, there I saw
every dream a picture draw
Only life and reality
could keep it from becoming
Real.
But forever it will stay
Through the years and every day
And upon the moment’s calling,
When the dreamer has been falling
Into the hands of the nightmare
-- I’ve been there
Then, before you, there you’ll see
the love that shames reality
The sight of joyous memories
A sign of happiness and peace.
And you will dream

… Forever more

to look about you and adore
that what you’ve wanted for so long
is there beside you in your Song.

- Heather Killough-Walden
Dedicated to Lloyd Killough and Fran Hutcherson
