State Of Ignorance

Cross over the state line
like traveling back
another century, another time.
Where men think in backwoods terms,
where hate is rampant
Even among the little ones,

Where races don't mix
And lines aren't crossed
An amazing example
Of innocence lost.

People are judged
By the color of skin
Instead of intelligence
And the heart thats within.

Oh, there are brave ones
Who choose to rebel
But are told all to quickly
They're going to Hell.

Where racist intentions
Passed from father to son
are poisoning a future
Before its begun.

They inherit a language
To old, out of date
Containing slurs and names
That reflect racial hate.

These people don't realize
That ignorance spreads
Nor do they know
The "N" word is dead.

There must be a way
To quarantine this disease
Bring forth a new leader
A new board of trustees

To show them the right way
To live and to grow
To open their minds
And let everyone know
That ignorance is not
In anyway bliss
And children should never
Be exposed to this.

Yea, send the Feds to reign the racists in. Like in the 60's. They don't understand any other language. Their kids might.
