I very much enjoyed your story. A Dublin native with family in both camps I was acutely aware of the worst of the Irish problem. A typical ploy of the British Empire of that era was to create an issue that divided emerging nations. India/Pakistan was another example. In spite of all of the sectarian issues in Ireland the Republic is still the only western nation to embrace marriage equality by the will of the people. This ties into your theme an act of kindness. Indeed it was the right thing to do. Without the majority of the nation voting this way, we would still follow many other western nations pushing things through by the will of the government. We have come a long way. I very much enjoy all of your stories. Keep up your inspired work...
