Most of the time the stories I read here are the "wham-bam-thank you ma'am" type stories, but every once in a while I'll read something a bit deeper and this story definately takes the cake as one of the best. Your characters achieved a huge level of empathy that most other on this site severely lack. Keep up the great work.
