Very Nice Work of Art.

'Twas an excellent LW done by a writer that we all miss. Thanks!

I thought this was an excellent little piece. The contemporary spin on the Greek tragedy was a good idea.

Okay

A Greek Tragedy indeed. Also a lesson in consequences.

an olympian accomplishment

PS, I want to complement you on the quality of your creation. You avoided all the hollywood cliches that make most historical fiction mediocre efforts at best. This story sounded as if this had been translated directly from Ancient Greek text.

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 10 years ago

A good tale, though it didn't pull me in as much as some of the author's other works. Most of all, though, I am excited at PostScriptor's return -- it has been way too long since we were blessed with one of his fine stories. Welcome back!

Your talent never ceases to amaze me! As you know, I rarely visit Lit as my life has gone in different directions, but I’m glad I checked today to see if you had posted this gem. It was even better than when I read it the first time. Thanks for sharing you talent. Maddie

I have to admit that it was more for sheer audacity of your work than anything else.

Great story! As close to Homer or Aeschylos as a modern day writer could come.

Thank you for writing this fable.

I really enjoyed it, justice was served to everyone. Except the friends of Pallus (I guess you can't have everything). Thank you again.

Here's another...

five.

Like I've already said, you've hidden your material in places I seldom look. Well I'm here now.

This was an imaginative tale; more confessional than anything. Though the 'Classical' setting is a bit overworked I still liked the time frame.

Thanks again,

Jedd Clampett

Sorry

I have no corrections or suggestions to offer you. It's hard to say I enjoyed your story because I don't think I did. It was well written and was what it was advertised to be. I can't unread it now and it was sad for all of the characters. I think you did what you wanted to do in this effort. Scotty

A Whiter Shade of Pale

She said, I'm home on shore leave,

Though in truth we were at sea

So I took her by the looking glass

And forced her to agree

Saying, you must be the mermaid

Who took Neptune for a ride.

But she smiled at me so sadly

That my anger straightway died

And so it was that later

As the miller told his tale

That Her Face, at First just Ghostly,

Turned a Whiter Shade of Pale

Great Story!!!

could u please write a story focusing on reconciliation please; you must be a romantic at heart, so please write one based on reconciliation and how love conquers all even after betrayal and lapse of reason behind infidelity. Something like that.

"Pot, meet Kettle"

That's what I thought when Zoe expressed her anger about Jason moving her sister in. She had no right to be pissed, considering that she ran off on her own family and left them to fend for themselves.

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 6 years ago
I've read this story many times,,,

And each time, I am impressed with the way how you have indeed captured the Greek tragedy. I think both Milton and Dante' would be impressed. (Like any of these creatons have a clue as to who they are)

Did Zoe?

Get redemption when Jason forgave her or did Zoe live in eternal torment in Hades forever?.Also the reference of Zoe being avenged did that mean her spirit was at peace since Pallas was directly responsible for Zoe's suicide.

Also if Zoe,Jason, and Elena could be reborn to atone for their last lifes sins.I kinda wish Zoe could come back to make up for hurting her Husband Jason and Sister Elena.

Tragedy well done

Parallels many of the tragic classics and that is fine as long as it is done well and this was done very well. Grate tale of tragedy and redemption.

An excellent attempt to write a Greek tragedy. I must compliment the author and I am much obliged to him for the minutes of a delightful reading. Muito obrigado!

Absolutely outstanding! I'm personally offended by the whole "I would still take you back even after you whored yourself out and showed you didn't love me at all", but the quality of writing overshadowed that, so still 5 stars

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Do you really think that there would have been the kind of questioning the town elders participated in during those times? I think not. After securing Pallas, he should have set his house ablaze to take out the accomplices to Zoe's defilement.

RanDog025RanDog025over 1 year ago

I really liked your story but thank God Greek Mythology is just that mythology, Dante and the parallel are just Fiction but thank God there is a One True God, in His Word he call's Himself LORD and He is a Fearsome and Jealous God. Might want to remember that in the Future. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Oh yeah, I'm NOT a fan of yours, just liked the ending. The Vengeance was exceptional!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

I believe that almost virtually all the really talented writer here very well read. Moreover they craft stories in which sex is property placed and in proportion to the stories content. Sadly all to many near 70% look upon this site as a respository for crude sex with plot of secondary concern.

Personally, I wish they didn't publish. That said everyone should have an equal chance but, for too many, they deserve a poor outcome.

Your writing is a pleasure to read. Even those stories I didn't care for are well written.

THANK YOU!
