...the honor ... the honor ... of reading this exquisite and terrifying piece still lingers. Wonderful imagery. I believe there is entirely NOT enough allusion to art and literature in modern poetry, let alone well crafted allusion. Excellent work, as i'm sure you Intended.

.....this was one of the poems that made voting in the December challange so hard. On any given day it would get my #s but the company was so rich. I seriously admire this poem, it could so possibly have been the winner. A definite 5+.
