I really liked this poem because as a reader I could put different pairing of characters into it .Innocent youngsters, older people, friends. It reminded me a bit of the John Betjeman poem "In a Bath Tea Shop" - "But both, for a moment little lower than the angels".
the three lines: so serious
a soul
so sweet
maybe were not required ?
Thanks
portrait of sharing and trust , how it grows and how simple things mean so much.
There is something childlike here, it is pure and honest and very moving, to me at least.
It is puppy love that balances on the edge of true understanding.
A moment, in my opinion, that hasn't been captured often enough.
This does that moment proud.
Thank you
This is a wonderful poem, Willow; your trademark clarity and honesty. Enjoyed it very much.
[sp: grateful]
The sentiment is expressed in a tender way. I leave this page with a smile and a good feeling. Thanks

You read first the verse;
most difficult of all,
you read each other, and discover
as your words flow,
you are each other.
