No, don't take me away,
Don't move me from this line
Or turn me away
From the end of his time.

What point to move on?
What reason to look ahead?
When all I see around me
Is the memory of his death.

Hold back the hands of time,
Keep still my beating heart.
There is no reason for tomorrow
If we are still apart.

I do not want to leave here,
I do not have to see the truth.
If he cannot be with us,
Then I have no need for your proof.

God has left the building,
Faith has turned to dust.
If he is not here,
Then I have lost all trust.
