this is so full of loss and sadness and lonliness.
Wonderful stuff
makes me so sad...
I knew this was going to be a terrific poem.
I think you must have
floated away with it,
clinging to a shingle
of someone else?s
house of dreams
This was the pinnacle of this great poem. There are so many parts I want to quote, and so much I would like to dissect within it, but I can't because a greater portion of me just wants to inhale the poem as a whole. Great images, even better than the first poem I read of yours. I'm saving this one. *smiles*
Our pigeons on Main Street
don?t recognize your picture,
I posted ?WANTED? posters
on the poles we used to
lean against
and in the doorways
where we waited
in the rain;
but I never was good
with crayons.
You?re still missing.
Or is it me?
that's the only change I would make, and it's so slight in comparison to the magnitude of your imagery. The emotion of this poem floors me. I'm in awe. This is a great piece of writing.
...from start to finish. Powerful and phrased cleanly and with first-class surety.
i lived that poem once..hell, if i wanted to be honest i'd tell you i still was.
that was so beautifully touching.
sad and yet romantic, very nice!
Like watching a paper boat float down a river.
Quiet, gentle and sad.
Very nice.
Good title.:)
