SMS FROM SOUTHALL

Now it's almost dark, the night is cloudy,
My memories and I in Avra Beach,
No one can hear me if I cry out loudly,
You will not learn cause I will never teach.

I've made a call or two, my friends are busy,
Speaking with you, again I will postpone,
Though by now should be, it is not easy,
Cause you don't know how to use a phone.

I'm sure you are ok or else you'd call me,
I'm not that well tonight, I could not talk,
Descending minor third, a crazy SOL-MI,
I sing and play just the same old joke.

My baby sends an sms from Southall,
Today's London weather is not cold,
She is the only light in this dark nightfall,
Who's still thinking of me as we grow old.
