Click hereeverything is falling apart and i am watching my
mother put up a christmas tree that
makes a song when it lights it sings "silent
night"
as the suspicious voices shout through the phone why
did you give the order why
didnt you ask why
why did why
why
and we sing to our little tree and to ourselves, silent night
quiet night the snow is
never stopping always falling never stopping like little bombs
the Christmas Bombing they called it but it was on the 28th
that makes it fine, silent night
holy night
how horrible would it be to put out the light
Talk about the tearing apart of the season's spirit; some couples, families just can't handle it — felt the turmoil.
I really love this poem's structure. Every word seems to be positioned exactly where it belongs and yet the overall effect ranges from a breathless reading rush suggesting overwhelminging emotions dashing helter skelter everywhere with no place to hide, to a slow, pondering, energyspent line by solitary line dirge.

I love it.
