On the internet on an autumn day
I saw her first posting and knew
That her magic touch would make it such
That I might one day rue
But I saw the danger and I passed
And entered her enchanted way
And I let her into my lonely heart
At the dawning and ending of each day

On Los angeles beach in july's heat
We tripped lightly along the waters edge
We wrote our names on the sand
All thats worth of passion's pledge
Oh I loved too much and blinded by such
Is happiness thrown away

On a empty street where old memories meet
I see her walking now
She turns from me so carelessly
my heart this must allow
I had loved not as I should,
But a woman made of clay
When I chose the clay I lost my way
And lost my wings at the dawn of day

So now I look for love again someday it will come
And my wings will beat
And our lovers lips meet
And my heart pound like a drum
All thats passed will be but mist
Bunt off at dawn of day
