Click hereYou know how catholic girls can be
first taste of original sin
swallow hard
make a face
serpent loose to roil Eden
behind the buttons under silk
‘neath the veil there’s only skin
swallow hard
make a wish
open coyly draw him in
under skin crawls flesh and blood
no armor ‘gainst a moist caress
swallow hard
genuflect
serpent coiled against the breast

The "swallow hard" refrain moves the poem along, and the break from "make a..." to "genuflect" in the last strophe conveys a tone that is rather staid and rather shocking at once. Well done. :-)
a Darkmaas poem! You bring a lyrical quality to everything you touch. Good to read you again.I will always love your Dark feel in Wormwood, one of the best poems I have ever read on this site.
A good one, tapping into that fantasy of the good catholic school girl, especially when she's pushing thirty and still exploring the bounds of original sin...
