I see green when I look at you.
Overheard sweet nothings leave a bitter taste in the back of my mind every time I think of you more than I should and the stab of loyalty pierces my lustful, covetous heart.

Torrid, imagined rendezvous framed in soft, muted candlelight burns like guilt in my stomach because I do and I don’t want anyone else to know.

Damn that jealousy... another powerful and uncontrollable piece of the human experience... try as one may to shake it, its roots are buried deep.
