You had me, you really had me, until the end and until the fire. Geez, I am such a sucker for romance. I am such a romantic. I was hoping that she would stay there, live there with Carl and with the candle briefly lit to bring him back.

Then...the fire. Geez, I like happy endings.

Nonetheless, it is a beautiful story, well written, and one that evoked much emotion from me.
