desertmacover 11 years agoI AM a writer and I won't critique a story without divulging my name (my pen name), DesertMac. I even have a story here on Literotica, Bobby's Tale--- I'm not plugging my story, just showing that I actually am a writer, too. I thought this story was pretty good. The author put a lot of thought into it and the concept was pretty hot. He writes his thoughts out coherently and with a good flow, good syntax and good imagery.
What may have bothered the critic was the beginning. You started us with an adrenaline rush about a frantic situation but never expanded the story to explain the setup, even after your protagonist admitted at the end that he'd orchestrated the setup. You could have given us a quick synopsis of the situation Scott had manufactured either at the beginning or at the end and it would have made the story that much better.
With reams of poorly written and conceived stroke stories here and elsewhere, I am perplexed and irritated that this anonymous critic chose this story to trash. This one is far hotter and better written than the majority of them.
So, Dreamingofblowing, don't pay any attention to the anonymous critic and don't let him get you down. Keep writing and always strive to improve. I got a boner while reading it, so you succeeded.

Ignore your anonymous ciritcs in previous posts (who have probably never written a thing themselves or for that matter, experienced anything close to what you have described so well) and give us more of these types of stories in the future!
