Good chapter overall. I really want to know what the tats on Owen are. I like the developments but it didn't quite make sense to me why Iris wouldn't have mated him if she wanted his 'power' behind her. I would think she couldn't overcome his free will and have him allow her to use him if he is an Alpha. If he is, I wonder what she can hope to do about it? I'd think having mated him would be the best attachment she could get.

Anyhow, I like the developments. I am wondering if in your world of weres whether the wolf recognizes a mate or if any two wolves can mate. In other words, is Kara a possible mate to him? Maybe you can have Jason ask since Iris mentioned mating with him. I have a feeling Kara isn't going to be happy to find out he went after her brother without her.

It's an intriguing set up for a paranormal tale.

But I was stumped by the description of the MCU guy who's a witch. How can someone be Hispanic but not Latino?

@Gimlet, in regards to Santiago, he's Spanish-American, but not Latin American. You'll find out a bit more about him in the next chapters, but he's from across the pond.
