The story is not at all bad ... until the last couple of paragraphs. Much too abrupt an ending, and unsatisfying. I don't think Dave and Tiffany could have made a go of a long term relationship, but up and leaving with no explanation is, in terms of wrapping up a story, right there with "And she fell out of bed and woke up."
