This work does not fall in line with your previous works. Either you magically improved your writing skills or you hired an editor. Most likely the latter. Nice story. You have an active imagination. What outrageously crazy chick would travel, find rejection, return home, and then welcome some dude into her place without a thought? AND THEN we're supposed to believe this dude goes from bar tending to successful? Sure. Like I said... nice try for total fantasy. Keep dreaming and working with that editor.

You have done a wonderful job of describing a lost love. You had us coming to terms with his loss via his imagination and then you sneak that 'double-take' at the end.
