...redlion, I do not agree that the character of Ricki was revealed as a Lesbian Dominant. She and Jill share a bi-sexual relationship, with some role-playing. This 'playing' does not make them lesbians.

If Jill had remained stuck with her ex-boyfriend there never would have been a sexual relationship between the two women.

The love between the two women is no more dependent on them both being female, than the relationship between Jen and Rick is dependent on being female and male together.

I suspect this is the point the author is trying to make. That 'Love' is not gender-centric. Or for that matter, neither is friendship or sexual intercourse.
